📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end quality strategy for Europe’s leading private-sale travel platform, serving 30 million members in 7 countries. You will be the guardian of every booking path, from flash-sale countdown timers to last-minute payment gateways, ensuring that a traveler in Berlin and a family in Marseille both enjoy the same flawless experience.
• • Architect, code and maintain a robust automated test suite in TypeScript with Playwright and Cucumber, targeting 1,000+ critical user journeys across web, mobile-web and native apps. Your scripts will run in parallel inside GitLab CI/CD, validating every pull request within 10 minutes and cutting release-validation time by 40 %.
• • Pair daily with our 6 functional QA testers, turning their deep domain knowledge into executable Gherkin scenarios. You will run weekly automation guilds where you teach Playwright tricks, review pull requests and co-create a living catalog of 150 reusable step definitions that the whole QA chapter can extend.
• • Dive deep into the business logic of luxury-travel e-commerce: flash sales with time-boxed inventory, dynamic pricing rules, voucher stacking, multi-currency payments, fraud detection and GDPR-compliant data flows. You will translate these rules into precise Given-When-Then statements that catch regressions before they reach production.
• • Integrate your tests with Jira/XRay to provide real-time dashboards for product owners and engineers. Every morning stakeholders see a green/red heat-map of feature health, and every sprint retro starts with your concise report on coverage gaps and flaky tests.
• • Champion shift-left quality by joining refinement sessions, asking the “what could go wrong?” questions that shape acceptance criteria. Your early involvement has already prevented three high-severity bugs from ever being coded.
• • Experiment with AI-augmented testing: train an ML model that predicts which scenarios to run based on code-change impact, reducing nightly run time by 30 % without losing confidence.
• • Contribute to our open-source test harness, submitting pull requests back to the Playwright and Cucumber communities. Your last contribution to Playwright’s Docker image was merged and is now used by 2,000+ engineers worldwide.
• • Participate in quarterly “QA hackathons” where cross-functional teams compete to find the most creative edge-case bug. Winners demo their findings to the entire tech org and earn an extra day off plus a travel voucher to test our own platform as real customers.
