- • Design, develop, and execute test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of Coins.ph’s mobile and web applications, including cryptocurrency trading, wallet services, and financial features.
- • Perform manual and automated testing across functional, regression, usability, and compatibility scenarios to identify defects before production release.
- • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX teams to understand feature requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test scenarios.
- • Document, track, and prioritize bugs using issue tracking systems, ensuring clear reproduction steps and severity classification for efficient resolution.
- • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an agile development team to maintain alignment with release cycles.
- • Validate fixes for reported issues and perform regression testing to confirm resolution without introducing new defects.
- • Test application performance under varying network conditions and device configurations to ensure consistent user experience across diverse Philippine mobile environments.
- • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for financial and virtual currency services through rigorous testing of security and data integrity features.
- • Conduct end-to-end testing of user workflows including onboarding, KYC verification, fiat on/off-ramps, and crypto transactions to guarantee seamless functionality.
- • Maintain and update automated test scripts using industry-standard tools to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual effort over time.
- • Monitor application logs and error reports to identify patterns or recurring issues that may indicate systemic quality problems.
- • Advocate for quality assurance best practices across the engineering team and contribute to improving testing standards and documentation.
- • Work closely with customer support to reproduce and resolve user-reported issues, bridging the gap between end-user experience and technical resolution.
- • Stay updated on emerging trends in cryptocurrency technology, mobile app security, and financial compliance to enhance testing strategies.
- • Ensure all testing activities align with Coins.ph’s status as the first crypto-based company in Asia to hold both Virtual Currency and Electronic Money Issuer licenses from a central bank.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a QA Engineer in mobile or web applications, preferably in fintech or cryptocurrency environments
- • Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Appium, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
- • Familiarity with agile methodologies and participation in sprint-based development cycles
