Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the quality of every release for Verisys’ provider-data platform, the engine that powers credentialing for 400+ hospitals, health plans, and life-science companies. You will be the last line of defense before code reaches clinicians and patients, ensuring that every enhancement is stable, secure, and compliant.
- • Immerse yourself in agile ceremonies—daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement—where your early feedback shapes scope and prevents costly rework. Translate user stories into exhaustive test strategies that cover happy-path, edge-case, and destructive scenarios.
- • Design and maintain a living library of positive and negative test cases in Zephyr, Jira, or similar tools. Each case is traceable to requirements, version-controlled, and peer-reviewed so the team can execute with confidence during regression cycles.
- • Perform hands-on API testing using Postman, Newman, or REST-assured. Validate JSON, SOAP, and XML payloads against OpenAPI specs, verifying status codes, schema compliance, and data accuracy across staging and production environments.
- • Write advanced SQL queries—joins, sub-queries, window functions—to interrogate PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake data sets. Confirm that ETL pipelines, data fixes, and configuration changes yield the expected provider counts, license statuses, and sanction flags.
- • Craft destructive tests that simulate credentialing catastrophes: duplicate NPIs, expired licenses, or missing malpractice coverage. Prove that the system fails gracefully, logs appropriately, and alerts downstream teams.
- • Partner with DevOps and infrastructure engineers to certify releases spun up via Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Validate blue-green deployments, feature toggles, and rollback procedures so customers experience zero-downtime updates.
- • Triage defects with surgical precision—reproduce, isolate root cause, attach screenshots, HAR files, and DB snapshots—then shepherd tickets through Jira workflows until resolution. You are the diplomat between developers, product owners, and compliance officers.
- • Maintain real-time visibility for stakeholders by updating Confluence dashboards, Slack channels, and executive status sheets. Your concise, data-driven updates keep release trains on schedule and auditors satisfied.
- • Champion continuous improvement: propose new test harnesses, automate repetitive checks, and evangelize quality best practices across squads. Your curiosity and initiative directly reduce escaped defects and customer escalations.
- • Contribute to a culture of security and confidentiality. Because you handle sensitive provider PII, you model HIPAA compliance, secure coding standards, and ethical data handling every single day.
- • Enjoy the flexibility of full-time remote work while collaborating with teammates across AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MA, MO, NC, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VA, and WI. Occasional travel for quarterly QA summits keeps the human connection alive.
