📋 Description

• • As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at Cloaked, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of a privacy-first platform that empowers users to control their personal data across the web. Your work directly supports the company’s mission to rebuild consumer trust by delivering a seamless, secure, and intuitive ‘cloak’ experience that protects user identity on major platforms like Facebook, Amazon, and beyond.
• • You will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites that validate core functionality of the Cloaked browser extension and web application, ensuring that privacy controls work correctly under real-world conditions and that new features do not introduce regressions or vulnerabilities.
• • Day to day, you will collaborate closely with frontend, backend, and product teams to understand feature requirements and translate them into robust, maintainable automated tests using modern testing frameworks.
• • You will write and execute end-to-end (E2E) tests using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium to simulate user interactions across multiple browsers and devices, verifying that data masking, opt-in/opt-out flows, and credential management function as intended.
• • You will implement API tests to validate backend services responsible for data vaulting, token generation, and user preference storage, ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy standards.
• • You will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to provide fast feedback on code changes and support rapid, safe deployment cycles.
• • You will identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira), working with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes, while contributing to test case reviews and quality gate definitions.
• • You will maintain and improve test infrastructure, including test data management, environment provisioning, and reporting dashboards, to increase test coverage and reduce flakiness.
• • You will advocate for quality best practices within the team, promoting shift-left testing, testability in design, and continuous improvement of QA processes.
