- • The R&D Tax Analyst role at Kruze Consulting is critical to helping venture-backed startups maximize their research and development tax credits, directly impacting their financial health and ability to reinvest in innovation. This position ensures compliance with complex federal tax regulations while uncovering significant savings for clients in high-growth industries such as SaaS, biotech, and clean technology.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client interviews via Zoom and phone to gather technical and financial data, analyzing payroll and expense records to identify qualified R&D activities, preparing detailed workbooks and credit calculations using Form 6765, and collaborating with internal tax teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
- • The analyst will also monitor changes in tax law affecting the R&D credit, assist in billing processes, and maintain organized client workflows to meet strict IRS and state deadlines, all while providing clear guidance to clients on eligibility and documentation requirements.

🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of full-time experience in corporate tax accounting
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of nuanced tasks under tight deadlines
- • Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced, remote environment while maintaining core business hours (8am–5pm local time)
- • Strong analytical skills and comfort learning and utilizing tax software and technology to improve efficiency
