📋 Description
- • Unison Infrastructure Solutions LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Counsel to join our rapidly expanding team. This pivotal role is instrumental in supporting the origination and closing of renewable energy real estate assets across the United States. As a key member of our remote workforce, you will collaborate closely with senior management, origination, pricing, and property management teams, contributing directly to the acceleration of our transaction pipeline and the strategic growth of our portfolio.
- • In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for managing a diverse pipeline of deals spanning the entire United States. Your expertise will be crucial in facilitating seamless communication and driving progress between the pricing, origination, legal, and management teams, ensuring that all transactions move efficiently towards successful closure. This involves a deep understanding of the entire deal lifecycle, from initial sourcing to final execution.
- • A core component of your role will be the negotiation and drafting of a wide array of legal documents pertaining to complex commercial real estate transactions. This includes, but is not limited to, lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, and other ancillary documents necessary to secure and manage our infrastructure assets. Precision, clarity, and a strategic approach to contract language will be paramount.
- • You will also play a critical role in conducting thorough due diligence activities for potential acquisitions and leasehold interests. This involves meticulously reviewing all relevant documentation, assessing lease terms, evaluating projected cash flows, and verifying facility information to ensure that each asset aligns with Unison's investment criteria and risk management objectives. Your analytical skills will be key in identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- • Advising on strategic transactions and commercial matters will be an integral part of your responsibilities. This requires not only a strong legal foundation but also a keen business acumen to provide practical, actionable advice that supports Unison's overarching business strategy. You will be expected to anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and contribute to the development of innovative approaches to real estate acquisition and management.

🎯 Requirements
- • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
- • 4-8 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, preferably with experience at a mid to large-sized law firm.
- • Demonstrated success in negotiating and drafting commercial real estate transaction documents.
- • Experience with or a strong understanding of solar, wind ground leases, and/or wireless leases is a significant advantage.
- • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring visa sponsorship.
- • High level of proficiency with technology and proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
