- • As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the unwavering accuracy, currency, and alignment of all fund financial data. This encompasses meticulous oversight of general ledger entries, bank activity, capital accounts, and our internal platform systems. Your primary responsibility will be the daily reconciliation of fund activities, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. You will be instrumental in maintaining a reliable, up-to-date, and trustworthy source of record for our entire platform, underpinning the integrity of our financial operations.
- • This position offers an unparalleled front-row perspective into the intricate workings of venture capital funds operating at scale. You will collaborate closely with our dedicated fund accounting, treasury, compliance, and platform teams, gaining invaluable exposure to the core mechanics of venture capital. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that the robust infrastructure supporting thousands of funds remains consistently trusted and dependable, a cornerstone of our operational excellence.
- • Key responsibilities include performing daily reconciliations of bank statements against the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for. You will investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process, documenting findings and proposed resolutions. This involves analyzing variances in cash, securities, and other financial instruments, and working with relevant teams to rectify any errors or omissions.
- • You will also be responsible for reconciling capital account activity, ensuring that investor contributions, distributions, and capital balances are accurately reflected. This requires a deep understanding of fund structures and capital flow.
- • Furthermore, you will reconcile internal system data with external sources, such as custodian statements and fund administrator reports, to ensure data integrity across all touchpoints.
- • Proactively identify trends and patterns in reconciliation discrepancies, recommending process improvements to prevent future issues and enhance efficiency.
- • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and schedules related to fund activities, providing accurate data for internal and external stakeholders.
- • Maintain organized and detailed records of all reconciliation activities, supporting audit requirements and internal controls.
