Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end reconciliation lifecycle for DEUNA’s ATHIA platform, ensuring that every cent processed through 300+ PSPs, acquirers, and alternative payment methods is accounted for, balanced, and explained to merchants and internal stakeholders.
- • Lead the technical discovery and documentation of new payment-processor integrations by translating acquirer settlement files, API responses, and fee schedules into precise technical requirements that the engineering team can implement without ambiguity.
- • Build and maintain a real-time KPI dashboard that tracks reconciliation success rates, unmatched transaction volumes, settlement delays, and FX discrepancies; surface anomalies within 15 minutes of occurrence and coordinate rapid resolution with Product, Engineering, and Finance.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise merchants when they ask, "Why does my settlement not match my sales?"—investigate, explain variances in plain language, and deliver downloadable evidence packages that satisfy both CFOs and external auditors.
- • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and reconcile millions of transactional rows across multiple data sources (gateway logs, processor files, bank statements, merchant ERPs); automate repetitive checks and exception handling to shrink month-end close from days to hours.
- • Drive continuous-improvement sprints that reduce reconciliation error rates by at least 20 % quarter-over-quarter; document root causes, propose system enhancements, and validate fixes through rigorous A/B testing.
- • Partner with the Data Science team to deploy machine-learning models that predict settlement anomalies before they impact merchants, turning reconciliation from reactive firefighting into proactive risk management.
- • Prepare audit-ready reconciliation packs—including detailed variance analyses, evidence trails, and control sign-offs—that satisfy Big-4 requirements and support SOX compliance for publicly listed clients.
- • Map and maintain a living encyclopedia of fee structures, chargeback reason codes, and settlement timing rules across all supported processors; ensure that every new acquirer integration inherits this knowledge base.
- • Mentor junior analysts and cross-functional teammates on SQL best practices, reconciliation methodologies, and the nuances of Latin-American payment rails, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making.
- • Contribute to DEUNA’s expansion into the U.S. market by standardizing reconciliation processes across currencies, tax jurisdictions, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring seamless global scalability.
- • Champion a merchant-first mindset: translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that empower retailers, airlines, marketplaces, and QSRs to optimize cash flow and reduce payment costs.
