- • The Recruiter at American Institutes for Research (AIR) plays a key role in executing inclusive, efficient, and high-quality hiring processes that support AIR’s mission and values as a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization conducting behavioral and social science research.
- • Day to day, the Recruiter leads full-cycle recruitment for a range of positions, including proactive sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer facilitation; partners with hiring managers to clarify role requirements and develop job postings; builds and maintains candidate pipelines through strategic sourcing and outreach; maintains accurate documentation in the applicant tracking system; supports employer branding via social media and virtual career events; contributes to process improvement and ATS optimization; monitors and reports on recruiting metrics; assists with strategic talent projects; fosters relationships with candidates and hiring managers; and collaborates with HR partners on onboarding and workforce planning.

- • In this role, the Recruiter can develop expertise in full-cycle recruiting within a research-driven nonprofit environment, gain hands-on experience with Dayforce and LinkedIn Recruiter, strengthen data-informed hiring practices through metrics analysis, contribute to process improvement and employer branding initiatives, and grow professionally through collaboration with HR partners and hiring managers across diverse teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field
- • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in professional services, nonprofit, or research-driven environments
- • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems, including Dayforce, supporting implementations, workflow configuration, data migration, reporting, and end-user training
- • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other advanced sourcing tools to fill hard-to-hire roles
- • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across teams and engage effectively at all organizational levels
- • Advanced analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality results
