  • • As a Recruiter at SafeLease, you will play a critical role in scaling a profitable, high-growth insurance technology company that is redefining how commercial property insurance is designed, underwritten, and distributed. Your work will directly impact the company’s ability to attract top talent across finance, insurance, and professional services, enabling SafeLease to maintain its competitive edge in a rapidly evolving industry.
  • • You will partner with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements, build talent pipelines, and ensure a seamless, inclusive candidate experience from sourcing to offer, all while championing SafeLease’s employer brand and culture in one of the most competitive talent markets in the nation.
  • • SafeLease is a profitable, fast-growing team of 70 professionals expanding at over 100% annually, backed by its own capital and operating with the agility of a startup and the discipline of an established player. You’ll join a high-trust, low-ego environment where your contributions are visible, your discretion is high, and your impact is immediate.
  • • In this role, you will develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies tailored to the NYC market, leveraging your network and expertise to source candidates for roles ranging from entry-level to executive across functions such as underwriting, product, engineering, and operations.
  • • You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle — including crafting compelling job descriptions, sourcing via LinkedIn Recruiter, Ashby, job boards, referrals, and networking events, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, negotiating offers, and providing a best-in-class candidate experience that emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • • You will build and maintain robust talent pipelines to support ongoing hiring needs, proactively engaging passive candidates and nurturing relationships over time to reduce time-to-hire and improve offer acceptance rates.
  • • You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to translate business needs into clear job profiles, advocate for top talent, and navigate shifting priorities with agility and emotional intelligence, ensuring alignment between hiring goals and recruitment execution.
  • • You will track, analyze, and report on key recruitment metrics — such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance rates, and diversity hiring — using data to continuously optimize processes and demonstrate ROI to leadership.
  • • You will leverage AI tools to enhance sourcing, resume screening, and candidate engagement, staying at the forefront of recruitment technology to improve efficiency and quality of hire.
  • • You will create and refine employer branding content — including job postings, career site copy, social media messaging, and recruitment campaigns — that authentically communicates SafeLease’s mission, culture, and employee value proposition to attract mission-driven talent.
  • • You will foster a culture of inclusion by designing equitable hiring practices, training interviewers on bias mitigation, and ensuring all candidates feel respected and valued throughout the process.
  • • You will operate in a hybrid model beginning remote and transitioning to 3 days/week in NYC as office space is secured, allowing you to build relationships in person while maintaining flexibility.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of hands-on recruitment experience, with proven success hiring for finance, insurance, or professional services roles in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
  • • Demonstrated expertise in employer branding and recruitment marketing, including the ability to write compelling job postings, career content, and outreach materials that resonate with target audiences
  • • Strong sourcing proficiency across multiple channels — LinkedIn Recruiter, Ashby, job boards, social media, employee referrals, and professional networks — with a track record of building robust talent pipelines
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with hiring managers, candidates, and stakeholders at all levels
  • • Experience using recruitment analytics to track and report on key metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source quality, offer acceptance) to drive process improvements
  • • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous environment and adapt quickly to evolving hiring needs and organizational priorities
