📋 Description
- • The Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Networking team is seeking a curious and motivated intern to contribute to real-world open source projects in Ra’anana, Israel, focusing on networking, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with software and quality engineers to improve end-to-end test infrastructure, participating in code reviews and community discussions, maintaining and enhancing networking tests for OpenShift Virtualization, and contributing to upstream documentation for networking features.
- • The team operates within Red Hat’s global open source ecosystem, emphasizing collaboration, transparency, and innovation in delivering enterprise-grade software through community-driven development.
- • The intern will gain hands-on experience in system programming, deepen understanding of enterprise software lifecycle, and develop skills in open source collaboration, testing, and documentation within a supportive, inclusive environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Basic experience with system programming languages (Go / C / Python etc)
- • Strong problem solving skills and desire to learn
- • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- • Familiarity with virtualization, containers, Linux, and networking is considered a plus
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- • Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel for the full internship duration and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
- • Must be available for the internship from August 2026 till July 2027
