Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the employee experience for 1,000+ Americas-based employees as the primary Regional HR Business Partner. You will be the first point of contact for complex employee-relations matters—ranging from performance-improvement plans and grievances to sensitive investigations—while ensuring every action aligns with U.S. and Canadian employment law and 8x8’s high ethical standards.
- • Serve as the regional guardian of compliance. You will maintain and annually refresh the U.S. and Canada employee handbooks, coordinate SOX and SOC 2 audit evidence, and file all federal, state, and provincial reports (EEO-1, California Pay Data, Québec Pay Equity, etc.) on time and without error. When regulators or auditors ask questions, you already have the answers.
- • Run the end-to-end immigration and mobility engine. From H-1B renewals and PERM applications to cross-border relocations, you will track visa timelines, shepherd documentation, and partner with outside counsel so that top talent can move seamlessly across borders while 8x8 stays 100 % compliant.
- • Drive HR operational excellence through Workday. You will configure onboarding and offboarding workflows, audit HRIS data integrity, and deploy Workday Learning to push mandatory compliance and DEI courses to every employee. When the shared-service center hits a wall, you become the escalation path—and you fix the root cause so the wall doesn’t reappear.
- • Translate people data into business insight. Using Workday, Excel, and emerging AI analytics tools, you will spot turnover trends, absence patterns, and engagement gaps, then present actionable recommendations to VPs and directors. Your dashboards will influence head-count planning, manager coaching priorities, and even product roadmap resourcing.
- • Champion a culture of continuous feedback. You will co-lead the annual engagement survey, pulse checks, and 360-performance cycles for the Americas region, ensuring managers turn insights into concrete action plans. When engagement dips, you design targeted interventions—skip-level listening sessions, manager toolkits, recognition campaigns—that bring scores back up.
- • Be the glue between centers of excellence and the front line. Whether the Total Rewards team is rolling out a new FTO policy or Talent Acquisition is piloting AI-enabled sourcing, you will translate global initiatives into regional playbooks, train managers, and monitor adoption so that every program lands smoothly and drives measurable impact.
- • Elevate the new-hire journey. Partnering with Talent Acquisition, you will refine pre-boarding communications, Day-1 orientation, and 30-60-90 checklists so that every new 8x8er feels connected from minute one. You will track onboarding NPS and iterate until it rivals the best consumer experiences.
- • Lead or co-lead high-impact HR projects each quarter. Past examples include rolling out a manager-leadership cohort program, launching a global mobility microsite, and automating leave-of-absence case management. You will scope, resource, and deliver these projects on time, on budget, and with clear ROI.
- • Model inclusive leadership. You will facilitate courageous conversations around DEI, coach executives on equitable decision-making, and ensure every policy, program, and communication reflects 8x8’s commitment to belonging. Your influence will be felt in promotion slates, succession plans, and everyday team rituals.

- • Proven track record managing employee-relations cases, investigations, and compliance reporting (EEO-1, SOC 2, SOX)
