- • As a Regional Manager for Continuum of Care at Premier Inc., you will be a pivotal field-based sales professional responsible for driving membership growth and retention across designated territories. This role demands a proactive and client-facing approach, with a significant portion of your time dedicated to direct interaction with potential and existing clients. You will be instrumental in expanding Premier's reach within the healthcare sector, focusing on specific market segments that align with your expertise.
- • Your primary objective will be to achieve ambitious sales goals by actively recruiting new members and nurturing existing relationships. This involves a strategic blend of direct outreach, cold calling, and persistent prospecting to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. You will be expected to continuously gather market intelligence to uncover leads and stay ahead of industry trends.
- • A key aspect of your role will be delivering compelling presentations that articulate the comprehensive value proposition of Premier's contract portfolio and services. You will need to effectively communicate how our solutions can benefit healthcare providers, leading to improved patient care and operational efficiencies.
- • Collaboration with internal teams is crucial to ensure seamless account setup and follow-up, guaranteeing a positive client experience from initial contact through to ongoing engagement.
- • The role may require specialization in one or more of the following critical healthcare areas:
- • Behavior Health: Focusing on inpatient behavioral health facilities, rehabilitation centers, and similar care settings.
- • Long Term Care: Targeting the long-term care pharmacy provider marketplace, including closed-door and combo pharmacies serving skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, correctional facilities, and other institutionalized patient populations.
- • Senior Living: Engaging with independent living communities, active adult retirement communities, continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), hospitality providers, and schools, with a particular emphasis on assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.
- • Strategic Accounts: Working with healthcare facilities such as Assisted Living Communities, Independent Living Communities, Active Adult Retirement Communities, and CCRCs.
- • A significant portion of your responsibilities (approximately 70%) will be dedicated to new business development. This includes cultivating new client opportunities through direct and telephone contact, reaching sales goals, and actively prospecting. You will be responsible for delivering effective presentations and ensuring that new members are properly onboarded.
- • Approximately 20% of your time will be allocated to existing member support and retention. This involves conducting regular visits to the current member base, educating them on Premier's value-added programs, and performing comprehensive analyses of savings opportunities using purchase reports. Your ability to demonstrate ongoing value will be key to retaining these vital relationships.
- • The remaining 10% of your role will focus on essential administrative and follow-up tasks. This includes managing new and existing member paperwork, ensuring focus contracts are up-to-date, completing monthly expense reports, setting appointments, and attending tradeshows and internal meetings as required.
- • This is a highly autonomous, field-based position requiring 60-80% travel per week within your assigned region. You will be expected to manage your time effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and make independent decisions to drive success.
- • You will operate within a remote work environment, leveraging technology to maintain communication and productivity. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented setting. Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets, grow the membership base, and foster strong, long-lasting client relationships within the continuum of care.
- • Premier Inc. is committed to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and this role is integral to that mission. You will be joining a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about transforming the healthcare industry and improving the health of the nation. Your contributions will directly impact the success of Premier's mission and the well-being of the communities we serve.
