Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead end-to-end sales performance across M-KOPA’s Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, and Northern Regions of Ghana, owning territory strategy, agent development, and revenue delivery.
- • Manage a team of 12 Sales Executives and 21 geographically dispersed territories, with direct oversight of Field Sales Managers and one Deputy Regional Manager.
- • Operate from a field-based role requiring physical presence across Sunyani and Tamale, regularly visiting strategic clusters to coach managers, audit execution, and drive ground-level performance.
- • Build and scale high-performing sales teams by identifying, developing, and promoting internal talent, with a deliberate focus on building leadership bench strength for future expansion.
- • Drive data-led decision-making using scorecard trends and performance metrics to allocate resources, reallocate territories, and plan succession pipelines — not based on instinct or tradition.
- • Implement proactive risk management by identifying operational and performance risks early and escalating them with actionable solutions, not just problems.
- • Cultivate external partnerships with local authorities, community stakeholders, and business partners to densify sales clusters and unlock new market opportunities in underserved regions.
- • Shape regional strategy with autonomy to design team structure, incentive models, and field execution plans tailored to the unique dynamics of each sub-region.
- • Ensure all sales activities align with M-KOPA’s mission of financial inclusion, directly enabling access to credit and digital services for low-income, unbanked customers.
- • Maintain accountability for sustainable growth targets while upholding operational discipline, agent livelihood standards, and environmental impact goals, including carbon-negative operations.
- • Serve as a key contributor to the pathway toward Head of Sales, Ghana, with structured development and progression opportunities built into the role.
- • Conduct regular regional execution audits to ensure consistency in sales processes, customer experience, and compliance across all territories.
- • Foster a people-first culture by prioritizing leadership development, well-being, and career growth for all direct and indirect reports.
- • Collaborate with the Head of Sales, Ghana, to align regional objectives with national strategy while maintaining operational independence within your corridor.
- • Represent M-KOPA in community engagements and stakeholder forums to strengthen brand trust and expand market access in rural and semi-urban areas.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6–10 years’ field sales leadership experience, with at least 4 years managing managers in a high-volume, field-based environment
- • Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams across multiple regions with consistent delivery against sales targets
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Sciences, or a related field; MBA is an advantage
- • Experience in fintech, financial services, telecoms, or FMCG with large field sales or agent/distributor networks strongly preferred
- • Proven track record of building leadership pipelines and promoting from within
- • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and reside in Sunyani or Tamale with regular field presence across Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, and Northern Regions
🏖️ Benefits
- • Professional development programmes and a clear progression pathway to Head of Sales
- • Family-friendly policies and well-being support
- • Career growth within one of Africa’s fastest-growing fintechs, recognized by TIME 100 and Financial Times
- • Opportunity to drive measurable social impact through financial inclusion for 7 million+ customers across Africa
