As a cornerstone of our merchant partnership strategy since 2013, the Outside Sales team is the direct interface with our valued restaurant partners, cultivating deep, lasting relationships within assigned territories. This revenue-driving force is instrumental in fueling the growth of Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs), thereby strengthening their operations, accelerating consumer reach, and significantly contributing to our company's bottom line.
- • In this field sales opportunity, you will be the primary driver for bringing new restaurant partners onto the DoorDash platform. This is a high-energy, results-oriented sales position where you will manage the entire sales cycle – from initial prospecting and engaging pitches to meticulous negotiation and successful deal closure with local and regional merchants across your designated market. Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently expand our network of restaurant partners.
- • You will be actively engaging with restaurant owners and operators on a daily basis. This involves walking into businesses, presenting compelling sales proposals, and building robust, trust-based local relationships. Your mission will be to introduce them to the comprehensive suite of DoorDash offerings, skillfully negotiate mutually beneficial revenue share agreements, effectively sell multi-product solutions tailored to their needs, and clearly articulate the tangible business growth they can achieve by partnering with DoorDash.
- • This role is intrinsically a field sales position, requiring significant travel within your assigned region. You will dedicate at least 50% of your time to being out in the field, conducting in-person meetings with merchants, typically 2-3 days per week. The remaining time offers flexibility to work remotely or from a designated DoorDash office, allowing for strategic planning and administrative tasks. Furthermore, the role necessitates the ability to travel as needed for essential in-person collaborations, including training sessions, offsite meetings, team-building events, and other business-critical necessities.
