- • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Enterprise Account Executives (AEs) in the Northeastern US, driving consistent quota attainment and team growth.
- • Shape and execute go-to-market strategy for the Northeast territory, including territory planning, outbound campaigns, account-based marketing (ABM), and multi-threaded executive alignment.
- • Run a disciplined operating rhythm including weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews, forecast calls, quarterly business reviews, and consistent coaching moments to ensure team performance and accountability.
- • Design and execute winning strategies for complex platform sales, aligning Sales Engineers, Product, and Partnerships teams to accelerate deal velocity and close rates.
- • Hire top-tier enterprise sales talent, maintain a strong talent bench, and partner closely with Recruiting to build a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing sales team.
- • Drive pipeline standards and forecast accuracy by enforcing rigorous hygiene, coverage metrics, and stage progression criteria to ensure reliable revenue outcomes.
- • Collaborate with Marketing to design and implement targeted regional programs that generate qualified pipeline and support enterprise demand generation.
- • Work with Customer Success to expand existing accounts, increase net revenue retention (NRR), and execute land-and-expand strategies across enterprise customers.
- • Represent the Northeastern US business to executive leadership with data-backed insights, risks, and strategic recommendations to inform company-wide growth decisions.
- • Mentor Enterprise AEs through feedback, mentorship, and clear performance standards, fostering a culture of collaboration, resilience, and execution.
- • Build and refine regional playbooks for territory design, ABM co-motion with Marketing, and enterprise sales motion scaling.
- • Navigate multi-stakeholder, complex evaluations with enterprise accounts over 1,000 employees, articulating platform value across technical and business decision-makers.
- • Maintain deep expertise in enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or Command of the Message to guide team execution and deal strategy.
- • Apply a data-driven approach to all aspects of sales leadership, from forecasting to hiring decisions, ensuring rigor in metrics, coverage, and velocity.
- • Raise the bar for talent and culture fit while maintaining team stability and performance momentum in a high-growth environment.
- • Serve as a key liaison between Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure alignment on customer needs and product positioning.
- • Represent Astronomer’s enterprise sales motion externally and internally, reinforcing brand credibility and positioning Astro as the industry-leading DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow®.
- • Drive win rate improvement, cycle time reduction, and scalable revenue growth across the Northeastern US region.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years leading first-line Enterprise AE teams with consistent quota attainment
- • Mastery of enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Command of the Message, or similar
- • Proven experience thriving in high-growth or startup/scaleup environments, not exclusively large incumbents
- • Strength in executive storytelling, platform selling, and orchestrating technical and business stakeholders
- • Coaching-first leadership style with a track record of developing sellers through feedback and mentorship
- • Data-driven approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and sales hygiene
