- • As a Registrations Specialist at Numeral SAS, you will serve as the critical execution engine that transforms sales promises into tangible compliance outcomes for e-commerce businesses across the United States and international jurisdictions. Your meticulous work ensures that customers receive the white-glove service promised during onboarding, directly enabling them to focus on growth rather than administrative tax burdens.
- • Day to day, you will take ownership of sold compliance packages and ensure every promised registration and nexus setup is executed accurately and on time; receive ready-to-file packets from Implementation Managers and drive them through completion across 50+ US states and international jurisdictions; own the setup and maintenance of government tax portals, managing credentials and documentation with extreme organization; proactively track registration statuses and follow up with government agencies to resolve blockers, acting as the persistent voice preventing customers from being stuck in government limbo; review and route incoming jurisdictional mail and notices, ensuring urgent tax matters are escalated and resolved immediately; maintain a source of truth for all client registrations and logins, ensuring internal systems perfectly mirror customer promises; and identify patterns where sales promises meet jurisdictional reality to help refine internal playbooks and close execution gaps.
- • You will join a global operations team rooted in the expertise of former Stripe, Airbnb, and Notion professionals, working within a fast-growing Y Combinator-backed company (W23 batch) that is rebuilding sales tax compliance automation for internet commerce from the ground up, backed by Benchmark Capital and driven by a mission to eliminate administrative burdens that distract businesses from innovation.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in US state and international tax compliance systems, gain hands-on experience with government portal architectures and regulatory processes, and have the opportunity to shape and scale operational playbooks that directly impact product reliability and customer trust — positioning you as a key contributor to Numeral’s long-term vision of becoming the automation backbone for global e-commerce compliance.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1–3 years of experience in Operations, Compliance, or Administrative roles, with preference for candidates with US-facing startup or BPO environment experience
- • Advanced English proficiency to read complex legal/tax forms and communicate clearly with US-based team members
- • Obsessive attention to detail, with the ability to catch critical errors in documentation that could cause compliance delays
- • Tech-savviness to quickly learn and navigate 50+ varied and often outdated government tax portals and websites
- • High ownership mindset — proactive in seeking status updates and closing loops on tasks without waiting for direction
