- • reasoning: Although the role is Regulatory Affairs Specialist, the job posting does not fit any of the technical or functional categories like Data Science, Engineering, or Product. The closest match is HR & Recruiting, as regulatory compliance roles often sit within or closely support HR functions in large corporations, especially regarding employee-related regulations, training, and policy enforcement. However, given the absence of a more precise category (e.g., Legal, Compliance, or Quality Assurance), and per instructions to select the most appropriate parent when no child fits, HR & Recruiting is selected as the parent category with moderate confidence due to the indirect alignment with organizational compliance and policy functions typically overseen by HR.
