Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the front-line reimbursement champion for Regeneron’s immunology portfolio across Arlington, VA and Bethesda, MD, guiding physician offices and infusion centers through the labyrinth of payer formularies, prior authorizations, step edits, appeals, peer-to-peer reviews, and clinical documentation requirements that often delay or deny patient access to life-changing biologics.
- • Own and execute a strategic, data-driven tactical plan that aligns with national access objectives while remaining hyper-relevant to the unique payer mix, specialty pharmacy networks, and integrated delivery systems in your geography, ensuring every patient who is clinically appropriate for a Regeneron therapy can start and stay on therapy.
- • Act as the resident subject-matter expert on commercial insurers, managed-care organizations, Medicare Part D, CMS policies, and federal payer channels, translating complex policy changes into actionable insights for HCP office staff and internal partners within 24–48 hours of release.
- • Partner daily with Regeneron and Alliance sales leadership, Medical Specialists, District Sales Managers, and Patient Services HUB teams to coordinate seamless coverage pull-through, delivering joint business plans that increase first-fill success rates and reduce time-to-therapy by an average of 2–3 business days.
- • Deliver live and virtual educational sessions—averaging 6–8 per week—to office administrators, prior-auth coordinators, and financial counselors on topics such as benefit verification best practices, ICD-10 coding nuances, specialty pharmacy triage workflows, and appeal letter templates, measured by post-training knowledge assessments and subsequent reduction in claim rejections.
- • Monitor and report on local payer policy shifts, formulary tier changes, and utilization-management criteria updates using CRM dashboards and market-access analytics, providing weekly insights to the District Manager of Field Market Access that inform national strategy and forecast revenue risk.
- • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, including large multi-specialty practices, academic medical centers, and integrated health systems, maintaining a 90 %+ satisfaction score on quarterly customer-experience surveys and a 95 %+ account-retention rate year-over-year.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Policy teams to synthesize real-world evidence and health-economic data into concise value stories that resonate with payers and support favorable coverage decisions.
- • Champion Regeneron’s culture of ethics and compliance by ensuring every patient-support interaction adheres to OIG, PhRMA, and corporate guidelines, completing all required training modules within SLA and serving as a local resource for compliant best-practice sharing.
- • Travel up to 60 % within the assigned geography (Arlington, VA and Bethesda, MD corridors) and occasionally to national meetings, leveraging overnight stays strategically to maximize high-value account engagement and minimize windshield time.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree plus minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical or biologics experience in a matrix environment, including 2+ years focused on reimbursement, access, or market-access strategy.
- • Demonstrated expertise navigating products distributed through specialty pharmacy networks and familiarity with commercial, managed-care, government, and federal payer landscapes.
- • Proven ability to interpret CMS policies, Medicare Part D coverage criteria, and prior-authorization requirements, translating them into actionable guidance for HCP offices.
- • Strong collaboration and proactive communication skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional partnership across sales, medical, policy, and patient-services teams.
- • Preferred: Leadership experience within an account-management structure and knowledge of integrated delivery networks and health-system formularies.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary range of $175,300–$216,500 plus annual performance bonus and equity awards tied to corporate and individual goal attainment.
- • Comprehensive health and wellness programs, on-site or reimbursed fitness centers, and mental-health resources available to employees and eligible dependents.
- • Generous paid time off, company holidays, and flexible remote-work arrangements that support work-life balance while meeting customer needs.
- • Professional-development stipend, tuition reimbursement, and internal leadership academies to accelerate career growth within Regeneron’s award-winning culture of innovation.
