Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end quality of Cube’s cloud FP&A platform, ensuring every release delivers the accurate, reliable data finance teams need to hit their numbers. You will be the final checkpoint between code and customer, catching issues before they reach spreadsheets and dashboards.
- • Partner with product managers to translate complex financial-planning requirements into exhaustive test plans. You will review user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge-case spreadsheets to design test cases that cover everything from basic cell-level calculations to multi-currency consolidations.
- • Design and execute functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory test suites across web, API, and integration layers. You will run manual tests, validate data flows, and verify that Cube syncs flawlessly with Excel, Google Sheets, NetSuite, and QuickBooks.
- • Triage incoming customer issues from Zendesk, Intercom, and Slack, reproducing bugs in staging and production environments. You will translate vague descriptions like “my variance column is off” into precise reproduction steps, screenshots, and HAR files that engineers can act on within hours.
- • Own the bug lifecycle: log defects in Jira with severity, priority, and customer impact; verify fixes; and shepherd each ticket through release branches and staging deployments. You will champion “zero known defects” on every release branch.
- • Collaborate daily with remote engineering squads in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retros. You will surface risk early, negotiate scope trade-offs, and ensure test coverage keeps pace with continuous delivery.
- • Build and maintain traceable test documentation in Xray, linking every test case to requirements and customer stories. You will generate coverage and defect-trend reports that guide release go/no-go decisions.
- • Champion customer empathy across the company. You will host monthly “voice of quality” sessions, sharing real user pain points and driving initiatives that reduce support tickets and increase NPS.
- • Continuously improve QA processes by evaluating AI-native tools such as Applitools for visual regression and DataDog synthetics for performance. You will pilot new frameworks and roll out playbooks that cut regression time by 30 %.
- • Mentor junior QA contractors and customer-support teammates on testing best practices, bug-writing hygiene, and financial-domain knowledge. You will create lightweight training decks and run office hours that scale quality culture.
- • Maintain a customer-first mindset under tight monthly release cycles. You will juggle competing priorities, escalate blockers, and still deliver thorough test coverage that upholds Cube’s reputation for spreadsheet-grade accuracy.
