  • • Provide evidence-based nutrition care to patients with eating disorders through a virtual, family-based treatment model, supporting patients and their families in developing healthy relationships with food.
  • • Conduct initial nutrition assessments and develop individualized meal plans aligned with Equip’s feeding philosophy and target weight ranges, tailored to each patient’s unique clinical needs.
  • • Guide patients and families through exposure to fear and challenge foods, providing structured support to reduce avoidance behaviors and promote nutritional rehabilitation.
  • • Communicate clear, consistent nutrition directives to the entire treatment team (therapist, physician, peer and family mentors) to ensure a unified clinical approach.
  • • Deliver nutrition education that challenges irrational beliefs about food, weight, and body shape, using therapeutic techniques grounded in evidence-based eating disorder treatment.
  • • Update treatment plans weekly with progress notes, nutrition goals, assignments, and emerging concerns, ensuring accurate documentation within Equip’s electronic medical record system.
  • • Reassess patients’ nutritional status on an ongoing basis and recommend adjustments to meal plans, caloric needs, or clinical priorities in collaboration with the care team.
  • • Establish and maintain therapeutic rapport with families, setting appropriate professional boundaries while fostering a collaborative alliance toward recovery goals.
  • • Assist with discharge planning by evaluating readiness for transition out of intensive treatment and coordinating follow-up care recommendations.
  • • Participate in mandatory clinical meetings including Group Supervision, Treatment Huddles, Labs, All Hands, and Individual Supervision.
  • • Maintain a caseload of up to 80 patients, each receiving care for up to 52 weeks, with weekly telehealth sessions scheduled within the patient’s local time zone.
  • • Provide a minimum of 29 hours per week of direct patient care, including at least 16 hours of direct care after 2 p.m. in the patient’s time zone.
  • • Work until 8 p.m. on two evenings per week (chosen by the provider) to accommodate patient scheduling across U.S. time zones.
  • • Operate exclusively from a home office with no travel requirements, using company-provided equipment and secure telehealth platforms.
  • • Adhere to all Equip policies regarding clinical documentation, confidentiality, licensure compliance, and state-specific regulatory requirements for dietetic practice.
  • • Engage in continuous professional development through access to unlimited online continuing education courses via NetCE and an annual $1,000 stipend for additional training.
  • • Reimburse all fees associated with initial licensure, state board applications, exam costs, and study materials for required RDN credentials.
  • • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, physicians, and peer/family mentors to deliver holistic, coordinated care.
  • • Balance clinical priorities with business objectives while maintaining high standards of patient care in a fast-paced, innovative virtual healthcare environment.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) required
  • • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • • Experience working with eating disorders, particularly family-based treatment approaches, preferred
  • • Ability to manage a caseload of up to 80 patients across multiple U.S. time zones
  • • Strong communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams
  • • Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation and telehealth platforms
