- • As a Remote Senior Data Engineer at RoomPriceGenie, you will play a critical role in powering pricing intelligence for over 3,000 hotels worldwide, directly impacting revenue optimization for independent hoteliers through scalable, reliable data infrastructure.
- • You will design, build, and own end-to-end data pipelines using Snowflake, Dagster, and dbt, modernizing legacy systems while ensuring data quality and enabling cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions that affect real business outcomes.

- • Your work will ensure the reliability and trustworthiness of data that powers pricing recommendations used daily by hoteliers across Europe, North America, Asia, and beyond—turning complex data into actionable insights that sustain small businesses in a competitive market.
- • You will collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Backend/Frontend Engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions, ensuring that data products are usable, well-documented, and aligned with user goals.
- • You will champion data observability, testing, and documentation practices, establishing standards that maintain high data quality as the company scales globally.
- • You will contribute to a culture of continuous learning, with access to professional development resources and time allocated for skill growth, enabling you to stay at the forefront of data engineering innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of professional Python experience in data engineering and/or backend systems
- • Strong experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines on modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift
- • Strong experience in data modeling, including analytics-ready schema design, fact/dimension modeling, and performance optimization, along with data testing and documentation practices
- • Experience working with orchestrated data pipelines using Dagster, Airflow, or similar tools
- • Experience building backend or ingestion services using Python web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask
- • Familiarity with background task processing and asynchronous workflows (e.g., Celery or similar systems)
- • Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS (e.g., S3, RDS/Aurora)
- • Strong understanding of software design principles and data pipeline architecture
- • Experience working with large datasets using tools such as pandas, polars, or NumPy
- • Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- • High ownership mentality—takes responsibility for reliability, quality, and long-term maintainability
- • Collaborative, egoless team player who thrives in cross-functional environments
- • Fluent in English and comfortable participating in technical discussions
- • Based in the European Time Zone (UTC+0 to UTC+2)
