Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the search success of global brands from the comfort of your home office in Atlantic Canada. As a Remote SEO Strategist at Brafton, you will be the primary architect of organic growth for a diverse portfolio of mid-market to enterprise clients across ecommerce, SaaS, finance, and healthcare verticals. Every audit you deliver, keyword map you build, and technical roadmap you present will directly influence revenue, market share, and brand authority.
- • Conduct deep-dive technical audits that uncover hidden indexation traps, render-blocking scripts, and schema gaps that competitors miss. You will crawl millions of URLs with tools such as Botify, Sitebulb, and Screaming Frog, then translate the raw data into executive-ready narratives in PowerPoint and Google Slides that secure stakeholder buy-in and budget.
- • Design and execute full-funnel keyword strategies that balance head terms with long-tail intent clusters, aligning each query to a precise stage of the buyer journey. You will leverage MarketMuse, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to quantify opportunity, forecast traffic, and prioritize content production calendars that generate compounding returns.
- • Lead site-migration and replatforming projects, safeguarding rankings and revenue during launches. You will map 301 redirect matrices, validate XML sitemaps, optimize Core Web Vitals, and coordinate with developers to ensure every line of code supports crawlability, rendering, and indexation best practices.
- • Build and maintain scalable measurement frameworks in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Tag Manager. You will define custom events, attribution models, and Looker Studio dashboards that surface actionable insights for both technical teams and C-suite executives.
- • Collaborate daily with content strategists, videographers, designers, and paid-media teams to ensure every asset—from pillar blogs to interactive infographics—is optimized for discoverability, engagement, and conversion. You will provide on-page briefs, schema markup guidance, and internal-linking blueprints that amplify reach.
- • Serve as the trusted, client-facing consultant who demystifies algorithm updates, E-A-T signals, and SERP feature changes. You will host bi-weekly performance reviews, quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc workshops that educate stakeholders and inspire confidence in Brafton’s strategic direction.
- • Stay perpetually ahead of the curve by beta-testing new Google features, experimenting with AI-driven optimization tools, and publishing internal playbooks that elevate the collective knowledge of the global consulting team. Your curiosity and autodidactic mindset will set the standard for continuous learning.
- • Manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines without sacrificing quality. You will use Asana or Monday.com to scope tasks, allocate resources, and communicate timelines, ensuring every deliverable ships on schedule and within budget.
- • Champion accessibility, privacy, and ethical SEO practices. You will audit for WCAG compliance, review cookie-consent flows, and ensure all recommendations align with Google Search Essentials and regional data-protection regulations.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–5+ years of hands-on SEO experience in an agency environment, supported by documented wins for medium-to-large brands
- • Advanced proficiency with enterprise SEO platforms (Botify, Conductor, STAT, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, DeepCrawl) and Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Tag Manager
- • Deep technical SEO expertise: crawling, indexing, rendering, XML sitemaps, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, page-speed optimization, JavaScript SEO, site migrations, and log-file analysis
- • Strong project-management skills with proven ability to juggle multiple client accounts, meet tight deadlines, and deliver error-free audits, proposals, and reports
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
- • Intermediate-to-advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript literacy, plus comfort manipulating large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote, full-time contract arrangement—work from anywhere in Atlantic Canada with flexible hours that fit your lifestyle
- • Competitive annual compensation of CAD $55,000–$80,000 based on experience and client portfolio complexity
- • Access to cutting-edge marketing technology stack and ongoing professional development budget for courses, conferences, and certifications
- • Collaborative, fast-paced culture that celebrates curiosity, innovation, and knowledge sharing across global offices in Boston, London, and Sydney
- • Equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination in every facet of employment
