📋 Description

• Coordinate, curate, validate, and maintain high-quality, reproducible scientific datasets to support research, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives across the R&D lifecycle at Bristol Myers Squibb.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely collection, delivery, and tracking of analytical information from translational research, CROs, and collaborating laboratories for analysis, reporting, and presentation.
• Review clinical protocols and collaborate with scientists and clinical data managers to develop and review external laboratory study-related documents such as Data Transfer Specifications.
• Execute data management activities for external laboratory data in support of clinical studies, including data validation, query resolution, and quality control of vendor deliverables.
• Manage vendor relationships, track data transfers, and communicate discrepancies in data receipt or quality to ensure compliance and integrity.
• Work with research study teams to develop research information management plans that define data capture, flow, manual checks, and data listings to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in comprehensive data review activities in coordination with project and study teams to identify and resolve data anomalies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, computational biologists, biostatisticians, and study scientists to troubleshoot and resolve data issues identified during analysis.
• Generate data queries to sites or vendors as needed and ensure timely resolution to maintain data accuracy and audit readiness.
• Make interim and final research data available to authorized research department personnel in accordance with project timelines and data access protocols.
• Partner with data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and test data management and visualization tools by gathering user requirements and conducting usability testing.
• Support the creation of AI-ready and analytics-ready research datasets through standardization, harmonization, annotation, and quality control best practices aligned with FAIR principles.
• Partner with data science and digital teams to improve data structures, ontologies, metadata frameworks, and interoperability standards across R&D.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance practices that support AI, advanced analytics, and broader digital transformation initiatives.
• Utilize AWS CLI and S3 or similar object storage systems to manage and access large-scale research datasets.
• Programmatically integrate and verify research data according to specifications using R and/or Python.
• Implement agentic AI workflows for data ingestion and quality control, including the use of Claude Code for automated data validation tasks.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in scientific data handling
• Bachelor’s Degree in life science, computer science, or related discipline
• Proficiency in managing document organization, data tracking, and error handling
• Strong attention to detail and exemplary critical thinking, analytical skills, and judgment
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with clinical personnel, computational biologists, biostatisticians, and medical writers
• Savvy with AWS CLI and S3 or similar object storage systems
• Familiarity with programmatically integrating and verifying data using R and/or Python
• Experience with implementing agentic AI for data ingestion and quality control, particularly Claude Code
