- • Drive high-performance data acquisition, preparation, and synthesis pipelines to generate data for the next generation of speech and language AI foundation models.
- • Develop advanced characterizations of complex conversational audio using a diverse toolkit of signal processing techniques and deep learning models.
- • Collaborate with DataOps and Engineering teams to build automated systems that scale human annotators’ ability to label high-value data and provide critical feedback on model outputs.
- • Build advanced benchmarking methodologies and curated datasets for evaluating conversational voice systems.
- • Document and present results of data experiments and analysis to internal and external audiences.
- • Own the entire data stack including data acquisition, characterization, cleaning, serving, and transformation from a blank page.
- • Apply statistical methods and deep learning models to understand complex, high-dimensional audio data.
- • Design and implement scalable systems that automate and amplify human impact using AI tools.
- • Experiment with and integrate the latest AI models into daily workflows to improve efficiency and output quality.
- • Pioneer entirely new approaches to unsolved problems in voice AI, identifying critical experiments that validate or kill ideas within days.
- • Scale successful proofs-of-concept 100x by designing infrastructure that supports world-scale deployment.
- • Work closely with product, engineering, and data teams to deploy models on the most scalable voice API on the planet.
- • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.
- • Maintain clean, modular, and production-grade code in Python with PyTorch.
- • Continuously adapt to rapid changes in AI technology and evolving research frontiers in voice AI.
- • Contribute to a culture of AI-first thinking, where using and building AI tools is core to daily operations and performance measurement.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience building data processing pipelines from a blank page and owning the entire data stack including data acquisition, characterization, cleaning, serving, and transformation
- • Experience and expertise applying statistical methods and deep learning models to understand complex data
- • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into simple terms for diverse audiences
- • Strong software engineering skills with particular emphasis on developing clean, modular code in Python and working with PyTorch
