- • As a Resident Solutions Architect within Databricks' esteemed Professional Services team, you will be at the forefront of empowering clients to conquer their most complex big data challenges. This role is pivotal in driving the successful adoption and value realization of the Databricks platform through short to medium-term customer engagements.
- • You will be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting-edge data engineering, data science, and cloud technology solutions. This involves deep collaboration with clients to integrate Databricks into their existing systems, providing comprehensive training, and executing a variety of technical tasks to ensure they maximize the potential of their data assets.
- • Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from initial scoping and architectural design to hands-on implementation and deployment. You will work closely with Engagement Managers to meticulously define project scopes, drawing upon customer input and your own technical expertise to ensure alignment with client objectives.
- • A key aspect of this role involves guiding strategic customers through transformational big data projects. This includes leading migrations from third-party systems and architecting, building, and deploying industry-leading big data and AI applications that drive significant business impact.
- • You will serve as a trusted advisor, consulting on optimal architecture and design patterns. Your expertise will be crucial in bootstrapping customer projects, ensuring a smooth implementation process, and fostering a deep understanding, successful evaluation, and widespread adoption of the Databricks ecosystem.
- • Beyond initial implementation, you will provide an escalated level of support for customer operational issues, acting as a critical point of contact to resolve complex challenges and maintain system stability.
- • Collaboration is central to this role. You will work synergistically with the Databricks technical team, Project Managers, fellow Architects, and the Customer's internal teams to guarantee that all technical components of an engagement are delivered flawlessly, precisely meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- • You will also play a vital role in the product development lifecycle by working closely with the Databricks Engineering and Customer Support teams. Your insights from customer engagements will provide invaluable product and implementation feedback, helping to guide rapid resolution for engagement-specific product and support issues, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of the Databricks platform.
- • This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of impactful customer technical projects. These may include designing and building robust reference architectures, creating practical how-to guides and documentation, and successfully productionalizing customer use cases that deliver tangible business value.
- • You will be expected to develop and hone your skills in technical areas that directly support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions, ensuring the successful completion of customer projects and fostering long-term client relationships.
- • The role requires a proactive approach to client management, including experience in managing conflicts and navigating complex stakeholder environments to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- • While the role is primarily remote, occasional travel to the London office and client sites is expected, typically around 10% of the time, to facilitate in-person collaboration and project delivery.
