  • • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Seccl’s business continuity management system to ensure it remains current, effective, and fully documented.
  • • Facilitate business impact assessments and business continuity risk assessments across all business units to identify critical functions and dependencies.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop, review, and maintain practical, actionable business continuity plans aligned with operational realities.
  • • Support broader operational resilience initiatives by maintaining accurate documentation, evidence, and records required for regulatory compliance, including FCA Operational Resilience and EU DORA obligations.
  • • Design, coordinate, and facilitate business continuity, operational resilience, and crisis management exercises to test preparedness and response capabilities.
  • • Analyze outcomes from resilience testing and exercises, identify lessons learned, and track remediation actions to completion with clear accountability.
  • • Produce high-quality governance reports for senior management, regulatory forums, and Board-level audiences, translating complex operational data into actionable insights.
  • • Use trend analysis and management information to drive risk-based decision-making and prioritize resilience investments.
  • • Assess third-party resilience and continuity capabilities to ensure vendor risk is managed in line with regulatory expectations and internal standards.
  • • Identify opportunities to enhance resilience processes through automation, tooling, and data-driven reporting to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • • Embed resilience thinking into day-to-day business operations and decision-making across teams, fostering a proactive risk-aware culture.
  • • Maintain policies, standards, procedures, and audit-ready evidence to support regulatory, internal audit, and assurance requirements.
  • • Communicate clearly and constructively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, challenging assumptions while building alignment and ownership.
  • • Balance regulatory obligations with commercial and operational pragmatism to deliver proportionate, practical, and sustainable resilience solutions.
  • • Act autonomously in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment, shaping your own progression and taking ownership of outcomes without heavy top-down direction.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Significant experience in operational resilience, business continuity management, or a related risk discipline within financial services
  • • Strong understanding of FCA Operational Resilience requirements and EU DORA obligations
  • • Proven experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating scenario-based exercises and resilience testing programmes
  • • Ability to produce clear, insightful governance reporting and present findings confidently to senior stakeholders
  • • Experience maintaining policies, standards, procedures, and audit evidence for regulatory and assurance purposes
  • • Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving alignment and constructive challenge

  • • Salary between ÂŁ60,000 and ÂŁ80,000, reviewed annually
