- • Your day-to-day will involve serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a diverse portfolio of clients. This includes offering expert counsel on critical aspects such as plan design strategies, prudent investment selection, and the fulfillment of fiduciary responsibilities. Building and nurturing strong, lasting client relationships will be paramount, ensuring consistent satisfaction and unwavering trust in our services.
- • A significant part of your role will be conducting comprehensive plan reviews. This entails in-depth investment performance analysis, rigorous fee benchmarking to ensure competitive and fair pricing, and thorough fiduciary assessments, leveraging sophisticated tools like Fi360 to provide actionable insights. You will be tasked with proactively identifying opportunities to drive cost savings for clients, refine plan designs for greater efficiency, and implement strategies that demonstrably improve participant outcomes.
- • Ensuring unwavering compliance with ERISA, DOL, and all other applicable regulations is a core responsibility. You will stay abreast of the latest legislative changes, proactively advising clients on necessary adjustments to their plans to maintain full regulatory adherence. This includes supporting clients in diligently fulfilling their fiduciary obligations and maintaining meticulous, up-to-date documentation.
- • A key objective is to elevate participant engagement and understanding. You will develop and deliver impactful educational programs designed to demystify retirement planning, empowering participants to make informed decisions. Promoting strategies that actively increase participation rates and contribution levels will be crucial for the long-term success of the plans you manage.
- • Continuous professional development is essential. You will be expected to stay current with evolving industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in institutional retirement planning to provide the most relevant and effective advice.
- • Beyond consulting, this role carries a significant sales component. You will be responsible for achieving annual new revenue objectives by engaging in consultative sales to acquire new clients and by expanding service lines within your existing client base. This involves proficiently selling to both new and existing clients, identifying targeted prospects, and employing creative tactics such as cold calling and emailing to secure introductions and guide prospects through the entire sales funnel.
- • Developing and nurturing relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) within your assigned territory is vital. You will expand your professional network by collaborating with external partners, gaining access to invaluable industry knowledge and connecting with key C-level decision-makers.
- • Efficiently utilizing internal systems like Advyson and Schwab Advisor Center is required for opportunity updates, tracking, reporting, and effective self-management. You will be responsible for setting appointments, preparing compelling sales presentations, and delivering them effectively across all organizational levels, from staff to C-suite executives.
- • Active participation in industry events and targeted prospect events will be expected to foster networking and business development opportunities.
- • Domestic travel throughout your territory will be necessary to meet with prospects and clients, fostering face-to-face relationships and understanding their unique needs.
- • You will also be expected to perform other assigned projects, duties, and tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's overall success.
