Revenue Operations Engineer

📋 Description

• • Own the revenue data highway: architect, build, and maintain the critical interfaces that move subscription, billing, and sales data between Salesforce, our proprietary billing engine, marketing automation tools, and internal reporting warehouses. You will be the single point of accountability for data accuracy, latency, and integrity across every revenue touchpoint.
• • Design and deploy AWS Lambda functions in TypeScript to power ETL jobs, scheduled roll-ups, and real-time streaming transformations that feed executive dashboards, finance close processes, and customer-facing analytics. Your code will directly influence how quickly we recognize revenue and how confidently we forecast growth.
• • Translate business questions into technical solutions. Sales leaders will ask, “Why did churn spike in EMEA last quarter?” and you will trace the answer from raw event logs through CRM stages to the final invoice, surfacing anomalies and prescribing fixes before they become fires.
• • Champion a “low-code first, custom-code when it counts” philosophy. You will evaluate Zapier, Workato, or native Salesforce Flows for quick wins, then step in with robust serverless code when scale, security, or complexity demands it—always documenting the decision path for future teammates.
• • Keep our billing and subscription APIs honest. You will read, test, and occasionally refactor APEX triggers, Salesforce Flows, and Node.js services to ensure that every upgrade, downgrade, and trial conversion is captured correctly and reconciled daily.
• • Build trust through transparency. Every pipeline you ship includes inline documentation, Postman collections, and lightweight data dictionaries so that analysts, marketers, and finance partners can self-serve answers without booking a meeting.
• • Proactively hunt for automation opportunities. If a Sales Ops analyst exports the same CSV every Monday, you will replace that ritual with a scheduled Lambda and a Slack summary—then measure the hours saved and celebrate publicly in our #wins channel.
• • Collaborate in a fully remote, tightly-knit Business Intelligence pod that practices daily virtual stand-ups, weekly architecture reviews, and monthly “demo days” where you present new tooling to the entire company. Your work will be visible from the CEO to the newest support rep.
• • Uphold data governance and security best practices. You will implement least-privilege IAM roles, encrypt PII at rest and in transit, and partner with our Security team to pass SOC 2 and PCI audits without last-minute heroics.
• • Evangelize continuous learning. Whether it’s experimenting with GPT-assisted code reviews or piloting dbt for version-controlled SQL transformations, you will share findings in lunch-and-learns and contribute to our internal tech blog.
• • Contribute to roadmap planning. When you spot a brittle integration or a missing telemetry event, you will write a one-page proposal, socialize it with stakeholders, and shepherd it through prioritization so that technical debt never becomes an emergency.
