  • • CorroHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled RHC Coding Specialist to join our growing team, contributing to our mission of helping clients exceed their financial health goals across the entire reimbursement cycle.
  • • As a Coding Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate coding for professional fee charts, specifically focusing on Rural Health Clinic (RHC) specialties including Family Practice, Pediatrics, and Women’s Health.
  • • This remote position requires a high degree of independence and proficiency in CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding standards.
  • • You will be responsible for applying ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to the highest level of specificity, ensuring compliance with all relevant coding guidelines and regulations.
  • • A key responsibility involves calculating ProFee E/M levels using a proprietary algorithm developed by CorroHealth, demonstrating your ability to adapt to and utilize company-specific tools.
  • • You will also be tasked with recognizing and accurately coding critical care cases based on patient acuity, requiring a keen understanding of clinical documentation and its impact on reimbursement.
  • • The role demands meticulous application of diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS, underscoring the need for precision and attention to detail.
  • • Interpreting complex coding guidelines to ensure accurate code assignment is fundamental to this position, requiring continuous learning and application of best practices.
  • • You will identify the critical link between clinical documentation quality and its subsequent impact on reimbursement, providing insights to improve overall revenue cycle management.
  • • Upholding the highest ethical standards is paramount; you will align your conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and CorroHealth’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, actively supporting the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Program.
  • • Compliance with all internal policies and procedures is mandatory, ensuring operational integrity and adherence to company standards.
  • • Active participation in Company-provided training and ongoing education is expected, fostering professional development and keeping your skills current with industry advancements.
  • • Maintaining at least one professional credential through either AAPC or AHIMA is a requirement, signifying your commitment to professional excellence and recognized expertise.
  • • Ensuring individual compliance with all privacy and security rules and regulations, including HIPAA, is crucial, along with a commitment to the protection of all Company confidential information, particularly Personal Health Information (PHI).
  • • This role requires the ability to work independently from home, managing your workload effectively and maintaining high productivity and accuracy rates.
  • • You will contribute to providing comprehensive coding services that support our diverse client base, directly impacting their financial health and operational efficiency.
  • • The position involves working with various electronic health record (EHR) and billing systems, necessitating a strong understanding of these technologies.
  • • You will be expected to maintain an ongoing productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher, alongside a quality score of 95% or higher, reflecting a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for basic data manipulation and Outlook for communication and scheduling, is essential for daily operations.
  • • Effective and professional communication, both verbally and in writing, is vital for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
