- • Achieves annual new revenue objectives through consultative sales to new clients and expansion of service lines to existing clients.
- • Develops an annual individual sales plan (ISP) with a pipeline coverage ratio of 5X or aligned with company metrics to ensure consistent goal attainment.
- • Builds an active pipeline of qualified prospects using personal contacts, client referrals, prospect pursuit campaigns (PPCs), internal colleague referrals, and Relation marketing sources.
- • Documents all new business activity and won/lost opportunities with detailed reasons in Relation’s sales tracking system.
- • Conducts market research and stays current on business community activities to identify and pursue new business leads.
- • Assesses client risk issues, needs, and uninsurable or difficult-to-insure exposures to inform insurance recommendations.
- • Develops and presents tailored insurance recommendations to clients using a consultative selling approach.
- • Recommends and facilitates access to technical services including loss control and claims advocacy programs through Relation’s in-house teams.
- • Seamlessly transitions newly sold clients to the designated client service/account management team.
- • Serves as a trusted strategic advisor to key client decision makers, building long-term personal and professional relationships.
- • Exhibits thought leadership and industry engagement through professional associations, speaking engagements, and industry-specific expertise.
- • Communicates market trends, competitor analysis, and business intelligence to leadership based on field insights.
- • Maintains an active Property and Casualty Insurance License and ensures ongoing compliance with licensing requirements.
- • Demonstrates strong negotiation skills, problem-solving ability, and adaptability when working with diverse personalities to close sales.
- • Manages multiple priorities effectively in a high-demand environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- • Utilizes Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) proficiently and quickly learns new software applications as needed.
- • Projects a professional company image in all interactions with clients, insurance carriers, coworkers, and external stakeholders.
- • Maintains a competitive drive and winning spirit with a keen sense of humor as part of daily engagement.
- • Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
