• • As a Robotics Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in this mission, collaborating closely with our elite Machine Learning researchers who are developing state-of-the-art multimodal world models and generative systems. You will also work hand-in-hand with our hardware teams and external partners to ensure that robotic platforms, sensing capabilities, and system dynamics perform optimally in demanding real-world operational environments.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to **Build the Foundation** for advanced robotics research. This involves collaborating with our world model team to construct a cutting-edge training and simulation platform specifically tailored for robotics applications. This platform will be the bedrock upon which future innovations are built, enabling rapid iteration and rigorous testing of new algorithms and approaches.
• • A key aspect of your role will be to **Build the "World"** by developing persistent, high-fidelity 3D/4D scene representations. These representations must maintain temporal consistency, allowing our AI systems to understand and interact with dynamic environments over time. This involves leveraging advanced techniques in 3D reconstruction, scene understanding, and generative modeling.
• • You will be instrumental in **Driving Intelligence** by unlocking advanced robotics planning and decision-making capabilities. This will be achieved by integrating and extending our in-house, cutting-edge world models, enabling robots to reason about their surroundings and make intelligent choices.
• • A critical focus will be on **Sim2Real** transfer. You will ensure that sensing data and system dynamics perform reliably and predictably in high-stakes, real-world operations. This requires bridging the gap between simulated environments and physical reality, ensuring that models trained in simulation can effectively translate their learned behaviors to physical robots.
• • You will have the opportunity to **Push Boundaries** by partnering with leading ML researchers to innovate on generative models and the pursuit of physical Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). This involves exploring novel architectures, training methodologies, and theoretical frameworks to advance the state of the art.
• • We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise or a strong interest in areas such as world models for embodied systems, 3D/4D generative models, 3D reconstruction and scene understanding, embodied AI, object-level/semantic SLAM, and multimodal AI.
