Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Train large language models (LLMs) to generate production-grade code across multiple programming languages by evaluating, comparing, and ranking code snippets based on correctness, efficiency, and style.
- • Repair and refactor AI-generated code to meet industry standards, resolving logic errors, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
- • Provide detailed, written justifications for why one code approach is superior to another, ensuring feedback is clear, actionable, and aligned with real-world engineering practices.
- • Inject structured feedback—including ratings, edits, and test results—into the RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) pipeline to continuously improve model outputs.
- • Maintain the integrity and consistency of the RLHF feedback loop by ensuring high-quality, reliable data flows from engineer evaluations to model training updates.
- • Work asynchronously in a low-oversight environment, managing your own schedule while meeting project deadlines and quality benchmarks without daily supervision.
- • Review and interpret technical documentation, programming language specifications, and codebase conventions to accurately assess code quality and adherence to best practices.
- • Collaborate remotely with a distributed team of engineers, contributing expertise in Ruby and broader software engineering principles to refine AI-generated code.
- • Deliver high-volume, high-accuracy evaluations on a consistent basis, with a focus on precision in both code assessment and written communication.
- • Ensure all feedback provided is technically sound, context-aware, and directly applicable to improving the model’s ability to propose, critique, and improve code like a senior engineer would.
- • Adhere to strict quality controls and documentation standards to support scalable, repeatable model training processes.
- • Verify your identity and confirm valid independent contractor status in your country of residence prior to engagement.
- • Work a minimum of 15 hours per week, with opportunity to scale up to 40+ hours per week depending on project availability; hours are project-dependent and not guaranteed week-to-week.
- • Receive weekly payments via PayPal or Stripe for completed work, with compensation ranging from $30–$70/hour based on location and seniority.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in Ruby
- • Strong code-review instincts to identify logic errors, performance traps, and security issues
- • Extreme attention to detail and excellent written communication skills for explaining code quality judgments
- • Comfortable working in an asynchronous, low-oversight remote environment
- • Valid documentation to work as an independent contractor in your country of residence
- • Ability to read and interpret programming language specifications and technical documentation
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote work from any accepted country on the listed locations
- • Weekly payments via PayPal or Stripe
- • Flexible hours: 15–40+ hours/week based on project availability
- • Compensation range of $30–$70/hour based on location and seniority
