📋 Description

• As a Rust Engineer in Keyrock's Capital Markets division, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing low-latency, mission-critical trading systems that power the company's market-making, high-frequency trading, and DeFi operations across more than 80 global exchanges. Your work will directly impact the firm's ability to provide liquidity and execute trades with precision and speed in fast-moving digital asset markets.
• You will collaborate closely with quantitative analysts, traders, and fellow engineers to refine trading strategies, enhance system performance, and ensure seamless connectivity with exchanges via FIX, REST, and WebSocket APIs. This includes designing scalable, resilient solutions that maintain stability under high-throughput conditions while minimizing latency.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining and improving trading infrastructure on AWS, leveraging Linux systems, shell scripting, and containerized environments (Docker, EKS/Kubernetes) to ensure robust, production-grade systems. You will also troubleshoot network-related issues, analyze packet-level behavior, and optimize TCP/UDP configurations for optimal execution speed.
• You will support functional and component testing of critical trading components, ensuring reliability and correctness before deployment. This includes writing and maintaining test suites, validating market data feeds, and verifying strategy execution logic in simulated and live environments.
• You will contribute to a culture of ownership and initiative, proactively identifying performance bottlenecks, proposing improvements, and driving solutions independently. Your curiosity and growth mindset will be essential as you explore advancements in Rust, cloud-native technologies, and trading system architectures.
• Working within a fully remote, globally distributed team spanning 42 nationalities, you will benefit from asynchronous collaboration practices while participating in regular virtual and occasional in-person gatherings that strengthen team cohesion across Keyrock’s hubs in London, Brussels, Singapore, and Paris.
• This role offers significant opportunities to deepen your expertise in Rust—particularly with the Tokio framework—while applying it to real-world, high-stakes trading systems. 🎯 Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Rust programming language, with practical experience building and maintaining production systems
• Prior experience working in a trading environment such as high-frequency trading (HFT), market making, proprietary trading, or similar financial technology roles
• Solid knowledge of AWS cloud services, Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and system troubleshooting techniques
• Familiarity with trading systems infrastructure, including FIX, REST, and WebSocket APIs, market data feeds, and networking fundamentals (latency, TCP/UDP, packet analysis)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for developing or supporting trading strategies
