- • Lead cross-functional client engagements for SaaS and software companies, directing teams of consultants and overseeing work streams to deliver high-quality financial solutions within tight timelines.
- • Design and implement structured financial reporting frameworks for SaaS clients, aggregating data from CRM, billing, and ERP systems to establish a single source of truth for key metrics like ARR, churn, retention, and bookings.
- • Develop and deliver monthly Board and management reporting packages that compare current and year-to-date performance against prior year results, forecasts, and budget targets with clear visualizations and actionable insights.
- • Build and refine complex financial models including ARR roll-forward and "snowball" analyses to explain financial movements and support decision-making for private equity sponsors and CFOs.
- • Lead comprehensive annual budgeting and forecasting processes for software companies, coordinating with Finance, FP&A, sales, and operations teams to align on operating levers and liquidity drivers.
- • Leverage Excel, PowerPivot, Power BI, and other tools to manage, analyze, and present large, complex datasets, transforming manual processes into scalable systems such as BI platforms or CPM tools.
- • Train and mentor FP&A teams to own reporting, forecasting tools, and KPI analysis, ensuring sustainable client capabilities post-engagement.
- • Act as primary relationship manager for clients and private equity sponsors, addressing financial and operational needs throughout engagements and maintaining consistent communication.
- • Participate in business development by positioning Accordion’s capabilities to CFOs, finance leaders, and PE sponsors, leveraging existing relationships to originate and expand SaaS-focused opportunities.
- • Collaborate with internal teams to develop industry-specific marketing materials, thought leadership content, and use cases that articulate Accordion’s differentiated value proposition for SaaS and software clients.
- • Assess project needs and lead the development of proposals and work plans for new client engagements, including scoping, resource planning, and pricing.
- • Drive practice development initiatives by building execution toolkits, resources, and maintaining Accordion’s consulting knowledge hub for SaaS and software finance services.
- • Mentor junior consultants, providing career guidance and supporting professional growth within the Strategic Finance Practice.
- • Travel to client sites as required to support on-site engagements and deliver hands-on implementation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA is a plus
- • Minimum 10 years of experience at a top-tier private equity firm, investment bank, or consulting firm working with Software or SaaS companies
- • Proven experience in FP&A within an operating company or direct interaction with private equity funds and portfolio companies
- • Strong analytical and modeling skills with extensive experience building complex financial models for forecasting and valuation
- • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPivot, and tools like Power BI to manage, analyze, and present large datasets
- • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations with clarity and precision
