  • • The Safety Strategy Lead will lead cross-functional efforts in support of strategic safety programs and ensure alignment with organizational goals at Torc Robotics, a leader in autonomous driving since 2007 and now part of the Daimler family focused on developing software for automated trucks.
  • • Day to day, the role involves assisting in the coordination, development, integration, and delivery of key safety programs such as driverless safety case programs, traffic safety law compliance, and SPI programs; managing documentation, evidence collection, and internal/external reviews; supporting external communications and regulatory engagement; translating high-level safety objectives into actionable plans; defining goals, objectives, and success metrics; identifying and managing dependencies, risks, and blockers across departments; providing regular updates to senior leadership; preparing and presenting dashboards and metrics; representing safety programs in internal and external assessments; fostering strong working relationships across technical and business teams; aligning with the PMO and Technical Product Managers; driving continuous improvement in planning, communication, and execution; supporting the Safety Review Board; contributing to the development of safety standards and processes; and promoting a proactive safety culture through education and recognition.
