- • Join the Regional Sales team in Genova as a Business Development Manager, focusing on expanding Deliveroo’s presence by securing high-end restaurant and store partnerships across the city.
- • Prospect, pitch, and close new merchant relationships through direct visits, phone calls, and digital outreach, acting as a local expert on Genova’s culinary landscape and emerging food trends.
- • Serve as a founding member of Deliveroo’s regional growth initiative in Italy, building foundational relationships with premium merchants to establish long-term partnerships.
- • Conduct consultative sales conversations with restaurant owners to articulate the value of Deliveroo’s technology platform and address barriers to onboarding.
- • Guide new merchant partners through the entire onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience as they transition onto the Deliveroo platform.
- • Attend local food industry events, meet-ups, and networking gatherings to strengthen ties with the Genova culinary community and uncover new business opportunities.
- • Leverage deep industry knowledge to demonstrate how Deliveroo’s solutions solve real operational and commercial challenges faced by premium restaurants and stores.
- • Report directly to the Sales Lead and collaborate with regional and global teams to align local growth strategies with broader commercial objectives.
- • Operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high autonomy, where daily results directly impact marketplace growth and merchant satisfaction.
- • Act as the primary commercial representative for Deliveroo in Genova, embodying the company’s mission to transform how people shop and eat through innovative, data-led growth strategies.
- • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects, track progress using internal systems, and consistently meet or exceed regional sales targets.
- • Stay informed about local market dynamics, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to adapt outreach strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- • Represent Deliveroo professionally in all interactions, upholding brand standards and fostering trust with premium merchants and community stakeholders.
- • Contribute to the evolution of onboarding processes by providing feedback from frontline merchant interactions to improve partner experiences across Italy.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and customer support to ensure merchant success and platform integration.
- • Embrace a hunter mindset with a relentless drive to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in a competitive market.
🎯 Requirements
- • Significant experience in new business sales with a proven “hunter” mindset and track record of closing deals
- • Proven ability to negotiate commercial partnerships and structure mutually beneficial agreements
- • Strong communication skills with confidence in face-to-face, phone, and email interactions with premium clients
- • Resilient and motivated approach to working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
- • Strong understanding of the restaurant industry is a significant plus
- • Ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision
🏖️ Benefits
- • Total target compensation (OTE) of €35,200 – €44,000 gross per year, with base salary range of €17,200 – €26,000
- • Employment under the CCNL Commercio e Terziario, Classification Level 4
