  • • As a Sales Development Representative for Pear Tree, you will drive new business pipeline within the UK market by identifying and engaging UK-based importers and exporters who face currency risk and cross-border payment challenges.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities include executing high-volume outbound prospecting via phone, email, and LinkedIn; identifying and qualifying decision-makers such as FDs, CFOs, and treasury managers; articulating the value of corporate FX solutions including spot, forwards, market orders, and international payments; booking qualified discovery meetings for senior sales staff; maintaining accurate CRM data; researching target industries; collaborating with the sales team on messaging and targeting; and consistently meeting or exceeding KPIs for calls, emails, meetings booked, and pipeline generated.
  • • Pear Tree is a UK-based corporate foreign exchange and international payments provider that helps UK exporters and importers manage currency risk, reduce FX costs, and streamline cross-border payments through tailored financial solutions.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in corporate FX products, refine your consultative sales skills with senior finance stakeholders, build a track record of exceeding sales targets, and position yourself for advancement into senior sales or account management roles within a growing fintech environment.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3–4 years minimum experience in an SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role selling corporate FX solutions to UK businesses
  • • Demonstrable understanding of corporate FX products: spot, forwards, NDFs, options, and international payments
  • • Experience selling to UK-based importers, exporters, or businesses with cross-border payment needs
  • • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding outbound activity and pipeline targets
  • • Confident and professional phone manner with the ability to engage C-suite and senior finance stakeholders
  • • Strong written communication skills for email and LinkedIn outreach
  • • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms
  • • Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment
  • • Ability to work UK business hours (GMT/BST)
