đź“‹ Description

  • • Axon Enterprise, Inc. is seeking a highly personable, technically curious, and enthusiastic Sales Engineer to join our ANZ Sales Engineering Team. This is a remote, quota-carrying, customer-facing role based in Australia, dedicated to supporting public safety agencies across the region. You will be instrumental in communicating the value and facilitating the deployment of Axon's globally leading ecosystem of devices and cloud software, all while contributing to our mission to Protect Life and Accelerate Justice.
  • • As a trusted customer advisor, you will be responsible for the technical and value aspects of Axon’s solutions. This involves delivering impactful and compelling technical presentations, engaging in architecture design discussions, leading competitive displacement efforts, and orchestrating highly impactful Proof-of-Concept (PoC) engagements. Your expertise will be crucial in demonstrating the capabilities of our evidence capture devices, digital evidence management solutions (SaaS and on-premise), and other innovative offerings.
  • • You will play a key role in supporting the sales effort across your territory, which includes leading RFP/RFI responses, conducting solution demonstrations, and facilitating technical workshops with customers and partners. Your ability to translate complex technical features into clear, contextualized stories for diverse audiences will be paramount to success.
  • • A critical part of your role will be to ensure a smooth transition of sales opportunities into successful delivery by our Professional Services and/or Partner network. This requires strong collaboration and clear communication to maintain customer satisfaction throughout the entire lifecycle of a solution.
  • • You will be expected to proactively research, network, and ideate to become the regional go-to resource for future solution opportunities, product roadmap development, and thought leadership. This involves staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to inform Axon’s strategic direction.
  • • Presenting and evangelizing Axon’s technical and business value propositions at industry events is a key responsibility. You will represent Axon as a knowledgeable and articulate advocate for our mission and solutions, building brand awareness and fostering strong relationships within the public safety community.
  • • Developing in-depth technical knowledge of Axon’s product suite and gaining domain expertise within relevant technology subject areas is essential. This continuous learning will enable you to provide expert guidance and support to customers.
  • • You will be responsible for documenting customer feature requests and issues, providing valuable feedback to the Sales and Product Management teams. This input is vital for driving product enhancements and ensuring Axon’s solutions continue to meet and exceed market expectations.
  • • Providing support for product Test and Evaluations (T&E) and Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) is a core function. You will manage the technical execution of these trials, ensuring they are set up for success and effectively demonstrate the value of Axon’s offerings.
  • • Executing customer site assessments, with a focus on technology infrastructure, will be necessary to understand the existing environment and identify how Axon solutions can best be integrated and deployed.
  • • You will be responsible for transferring industry, technical, and product knowledge to customers and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and informed team environment. This knowledge sharing is crucial for scaling expertise across the organization.
  • • Proactively planning to prevent pre- and post-sales issues is key to shortening the time to revenue and ensuring customer success. Your foresight and problem-solving skills will be critical in navigating potential challenges.
  • • Axon is a company that aims far, thinking big with a long-term view to reinvent the world for a safer, better place. We are committed to building diverse teams that reflect the communities we serve. If your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply if you are excited about this role and our mission. You may be the right candidate for this or other roles.
  • • This role requires significant travel, up to 50%, with some international travel expected. You must possess a valid passport and a clean driving license, and be eligible to pass a federal police background check. Australian citizenship is required for this position.
  • • You will leverage your experience with Software as a Service (SaaS), on-premise software, networking, installation, and configuration to support Axon’s mission. Your ability to confidently own and professionally drive customers to successful outcomes with Axon solutions will be a defining characteristic of your success in this role.
  • • As a "self-starter," you will demonstrate the ability to identify tasks requiring your ownership and know when to collaborate with others, showcasing strong initiative and teamwork.
  • • You will contribute to a global team, adding value through your efforts and demonstrating effective remote, independent, and team-based work practices.
  • • The role involves understanding and supporting large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack) and data integration/analysis to support our expanding product portfolio.
  • • You will be a key contributor to the technical sales effort, ensuring that customers understand the full value and technical capabilities of Axon’s cutting-edge solutions, thereby accelerating justice and protecting lives.
