- • Own the technical proof and demo motion for Valon's strategic commercial deals by crafting and delivering compelling, customer-relevant demonstrations of ValonOS to enterprise prospects in regulated finance.
- • Partner with Strategic Account Executives and executives from early discovery through product validation and deal closure, ensuring technical alignment with customer needs.
- • Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise prospects to deeply understand their mortgage servicing workflows, pain points, and operational constraints.
- • Configure and run high-impact demos using existing demo fixtures, demo data, and product surfaces to showcase how ValonOS transforms legacy mortgage servicing processes.
- • Answer detailed technical questions regarding system architecture, APIs, data models, integrations, workflow automation, and enterprise software deployment.
- • Translate complex mortgage industry requirements into clear, actionable product solutions that align with ValonOS’s programmable, AI-native platform.
- • Turn field learnings from customer interactions into reusable demo assets, evaluation playbooks, implementation patterns, and product feedback for engineering and product teams.
- • Support sales outcomes by owning the technical component of the sales cycle, removing technical objections, and enabling deal closure.
- • Travel to client sites approximately 25% of the time to conduct in-person demonstrations, workshops, and technical validations.
- • Act as a trusted technical advisor to mortgage operators, executives, and IT stakeholders, communicating complex systems in accessible, business-relevant terms.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to refine product positioning, prioritize feature development, and improve customer onboarding.
- • Contribute to scaling Valon’s enterprise GTM motion as a founding member of the Sales Engineering function, helping define processes, tools, and best practices.
- • Maintain deep curiosity about the mortgage servicing industry and regulated financial services, continuously learning operational nuances to enhance technical credibility.
- • Take ownership of revenue goals and actively contribute to hitting quota by driving technical validation that converts executive interest into closed deals.
- • Thrive in a founder-led, high-ambiguity environment with minimal structure, taking initiative to build systems and processes from the ground up.
- • Serve as a company builder by actively shaping the culture, operating rhythm, and technical voice of a fast-growing startup.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-10+ years in sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, enterprise implementation, or customer-facing technical roles.
- • Strong technical fluency with APIs, data models, integrations, SQL, cloud systems, workflow automation, and enterprise software architecture.
- • Experience supporting complex enterprise evaluations and production deployments in regulated industries.
- • Ability to communicate effectively with executives, operations teams, and technical stakeholders in financial services.
- • Strong systems thinking and customer empathy in messy, legacy-heavy operational environments.
- • Comfort operating in a founder-led, high-ambiguity GTM motion with minimal process.
