- • As a customer-obsessed Sales Engineer at ScienceLogic, you will be instrumental in driving growth across the vital UK and Nordics regions. This role places you at the forefront of our Go-to-Market strategy, partnering closely with Account Executives and channel partners to architect, demonstrate, and validate cutting-edge solutions that tackle complex IT operations challenges. Your expertise will span infrastructure, cloud environments, application management, and the modern digital services landscape.
- • You will serve as the primary technical authority throughout the sales process. This involves a deep understanding of translating high-level business outcomes into tangible technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading in-depth discovery sessions to uncover client needs, delivering compelling product demonstrations, facilitating interactive workshops, proving the value of our platform through pilot programs, and crafting winning proposals that secure new business.

- • **Pre-Sales Leadership & Deal Support:**
- • Collaborate strategically with Account Executives to develop winning account strategies, meticulously qualify new opportunities, and drive technical win plans throughout the entire sales cycle.
- • Cultivate and own the technical relationship with prospective and existing customers, guiding them from initial discovery and solution design through to evaluation and successful closing of deals.
- • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor, building credibility with both technical and executive-level stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Infrastructure, SRE leaders, and IT Operations leadership.
- • **Discovery & Solution Design:**
- • Lead structured and insightful discovery sessions designed to uncover customer requirements, understand their current technology stack and tooling, identify critical operational pain points, and define desired target outcomes.
- • Translate complex customer requirements into robust solution architectures, meticulously considering integration patterns, security implications, and optimal deployment models.
- • Skillfully map customer needs to the specific capabilities of the ScienceLogic platform, clearly articulating the unique value proposition, key differentiators, and the measurable business outcomes our solutions deliver.
- • **Demos, Workshops, and Technical Storytelling:**
- • Deliver highly engaging and persuasive product demonstrations that are precisely tailored to the specific use cases and personas of each customer.
- • Facilitate dynamic technical workshops, both remotely and on-site, utilizing whiteboarding sessions, use-case mapping exercises, and collaborative operational workflow design.
- • Develop and maintain a library of reusable demo assets, effective talk tracks, and impactful technical presentations that are aligned with regional market needs and specific industry verticals.
- • **Proof of Value (POV), POCs & Evaluations:**
- • Design and expertly execute Proof of Value engagements that effectively validate the technical fit of our solution, clearly demonstrate a compelling Return on Investment (ROI), and accelerate customer decision-making processes.
- • Guide customers through comprehensive technical evaluations, defining clear success criteria, outlining necessary data collection requirements, and establishing realistic validation timelines.
- • Proactively troubleshoot and remove any technical blockers encountered during POVs, working collaboratively with our Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure a smooth and successful evaluation.
- • **Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration:**
- • Provide dedicated technical support and enablement to strategic channel partners and Global System Integrators (GSIs), including joint demonstrations and technical validation activities.
- • Contribute to partner-led opportunities by ensuring consistent and effective technical messaging, strategic positioning, and high-quality solution delivery.
- • **Feedback Loop & Continuous Improvement:**
- • Actively provide valuable market feedback to our Product Management team, sharing insights on competitive landscapes, identifying feature gaps, and relaying crucial customer requirements.
- • Champion the sharing of best practices, key learnings, and valuable assets across the global Sales Engineering organization, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and elevating the collective expertise.
