  • • As a Sales Engineer at Ping Identity, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge identity management technology and the diverse needs of our enterprise clients across the Nordics region. This position is instrumental in driving customer success by translating complex technical capabilities into tangible business value, ensuring that our solutions not only meet but exceed client expectations. You will be a key technical advisor, collaborating closely with the sales team to understand customer challenges, architect innovative solutions, and demonstrate the power of Ping Identity's intelligent, cloud identity platform. Your expertise will empower businesses to deliver secure, seamless digital experiences, enabling their users to shop, work, and interact with confidence and without friction. This role is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical acumen and consultative skills in a dynamic, customer-centric environment, contributing directly to both client achievements and Ping Identity's growth.
  • • In your day-to-day activities, you will be at the forefront of pre-sales engagement, expertly delivering solution demonstrations, compelling presentations, and insightful technical guidance tailored to prospective clients. You will lead proof-of-concept initiatives, meticulously designing and executing trials that showcase the efficacy of Ping Identity's offerings in real-world scenarios. Furthermore, you will be responsible for crafting comprehensive responses to Requests for Information (RfIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring that our technical proposals are accurate, persuasive, and aligned with customer requirements. A significant part of your role will involve acting as the primary technical expert for Ping Identity solutions, serving as a go-to resource for customers, partners, and internal sales and engineering teams. You will cultivate deep, enduring relationships with clients, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor whose insights and recommendations are highly valued. Your collaboration with the sales team will be critical, with a particular emphasis on the Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof phases of the sales cycle, directly contributing to revenue generation. You will also coordinate effectively with post-sales service delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition and successful implementation of solutions. Leading customer-facing meetings, whether conducted via videoconferencing or in-person, will be a regular occurrence, involving presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and detailed demonstrations of Ping Identity solutions and their inherent value. You will provide invaluable feedback on product enhancements and emerging customer needs to our product management teams, influencing the future direction of our technology. Additionally, you will have opportunities to mentor junior team members, both formally and informally, sharing your expertise and fostering their development. To ensure comprehensive coverage and expertise, you will develop subject matter expert-level knowledge in at least one of Ping Identity's core solutions, becoming a recognized expert within the organization and a resource for other Sales Engineers. Travel, up to 40%, will be required, primarily within the Nordic region, with occasional travel to Benelux or Eastern Europe as needed.
  • • Ping Identity is a global leader in intelligent, cloud identity solutions, dedicated to making digital experiences secure and seamless for all users. Our mission is to empower businesses to protect digital identities without compromising user freedom, enabling them to shop, work, and interact online without friction or fear. We are headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with a significant global presence serving over half of the Fortune 100 companies. Our culture is built on the principle of 'championing every identity,' fostering an environment where individuality is respected, and authentic selves are celebrated. We are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging and can contribute their unique perspectives. • • In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly deepen your expertise in the rapidly evolving field of Identity and Access Management (IAM), becoming a subject matter expert in advanced security protocols and cloud-based identity solutions. You will gain invaluable experience in consultative selling and solution architecture, learning to effectively articulate complex technical concepts and their business implications to a wide range of stakeholders. • • The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or alternatively, demonstrate at least 4 years of experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing capacity, such as pre-sales, consulting, support, or training. A deep understanding of standard identity protocols is essential, including SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM, alongside practical experience with REST interfaces. Proficiency in the underlying technologies that support identity solutions is also critical, encompassing knowledge of LDAP (including Active Directory), SSL/TLS, PKI, RADIUS, SQL, DNS, and JDBC. Experience with modern programming languages and web technologies such as JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, and Java is highly desirable. Candidates must be able to work with a high degree of self-direction while also collaborating effectively with team members and customers. Familiarity with a subset of key IAM concepts, including Authentication, Authorization, Federation, Single Sign-On, User Lifecycle Management, Provisioning, Governance, and Workflow, is expected.
