  • • As a Sales Engineer at Ping Identity, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between complex identity management solutions and the diverse technical and business needs of our clients across the Nordics region. This role is crucial for driving customer success by ensuring they understand and can leverage the full potential of Ping Identity's intelligent, cloud identity platform. You will act as a trusted advisor, combining deep technical expertise with a consultative approach to demonstrate how our solutions enable secure, seamless digital experiences, empowering individuals and businesses to operate with confidence and freedom. Your contributions will directly impact the company's growth by enabling personal, team, and customer achievements through insightful and innovative solutions that address critical technical and business challenges.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will be multifaceted and dynamic, centered around the pre-sales lifecycle. You will be responsible for delivering compelling solution demonstrations, engaging presentations, and providing expert technical guidance to prospective clients. A significant part of your role will involve conducting proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, meticulously designing and executing them to showcase the tangible value and capabilities of Ping Identity's offerings. You will also play a key part in responding to Requests for Proposals (RfPs) and other tender documents, ensuring that our technical solutions are clearly articulated and aligned with customer requirements. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, partners, and internal sales teams, establishing yourself as the go-to expert on Ping Identity solutions. This involves building and nurturing enduring relationships with customers, becoming their trusted advisor for all things related to identity and access management (IAM).
  • • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work closely with the sales team, contributing significantly to revenue generation by providing critical technical expertise during key sales cycle phases, including qualification, discovery, and the technical proof phase. You will also coordinate pre-sales efforts with the post-sales service delivery team, ensuring a smooth transition and a consistent, high-quality customer experience from initial engagement through to implementation. You will lead customer-facing meetings, whether conducted via videoconferencing or in-person, delivering presentations, facilitating whiteboarding sessions, and conducting detailed demonstrations of Ping Identity solutions and their inherent value. Furthermore, you will be expected to provide insightful feedback on product enhancements and emerging customer needs directly to our product owners, influencing the future direction of our technology. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, both formally and informally, sharing your knowledge and fostering their development.
  • • To excel in this role, you will develop and maintain subject matter expert-level knowledge in at least one of Ping Identity's core solutions, acting as a valuable expert resource for other Sales Engineers within the organization. You will be expected to travel up to 40% of the time, primarily within the Nordic region, with occasional travel to Benelux or Eastern Europe as business needs dictate. This travel will be essential for building strong customer relationships and understanding regional market dynamics. Your ability to link technical capabilities directly to customer needs and business objectives will be paramount, ensuring that our solutions are perceived not just as technology, but as strategic enablers for our clients.
