  • • nCino, the global leader in cloud banking, is seeking a dynamic and technically adept Sales Engineer & Onboarding Consultant to join our growing team in South Africa. This pivotal role operates at the intersection of sales, product, and professional services, ensuring our prospects and clients fully grasp the transformative power of our platform. You will be instrumental in demonstrating customized nCino environments, addressing complex prospect scenarios, and facilitating a seamless onboarding experience.
  • • As a Sales Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Direct Sales Team, Product Management, and Professional Services to architect and present tailored demonstrations. Your primary objective will be to showcase how nCino's solutions can effectively address specific prospect challenges and business requirements during the sales cycle. This involves a deep understanding of our platform's capabilities and how they map to the financial services industry's unique demands.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve contributing to and potentially leading prospect-specific inquiries and scoping projects. This includes providing detailed insights into implementation strategies, nCino's robust support models, technical configuration options, security protocols, and data integration capabilities. Your expertise will be crucial in building confidence and trust with potential clients.
  • • You will be responsible for performing in-depth analyses of technical requirements presented by prospects throughout the sales cycle. This analytical rigor ensures that our proposed solutions are not only technically sound but also perfectly aligned with the client's strategic objectives and operational needs.
  • • A core technical responsibility involves demonstrating proficiency in implementing Salesforce.com security features within an nCino demonstration environment. This includes showcasing the effective use of roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, and groups to illustrate nCino's secure architecture.
  • • Furthermore, you will demonstrate the creation and customization of Salesforce.com objects, fields, and page layouts within the nCino demo environment. This hands-on capability allows you to visually represent how nCino can be tailored to specific client data structures and user interfaces.
  • • You will also showcase the implementation of Workflow and Approval Processes within the nCino demonstration environment, highlighting how the platform automates critical business processes and streamlines operations for financial institutions.
  • • Creating custom dashboards and reports tailored to represent prospect-specific data and key performance indicators will be another key responsibility. This helps clients visualize the potential impact and insights they can gain from nCino.
  • • Proficiency in data management is essential, including the ability to load or export data using tools like Apex Data Loader and other relevant utilities, demonstrating nCino's data handling capabilities.
  • • Beyond direct sales support, you will play a vital role in internal knowledge sharing. You will lead training webinars for internal nCino teams, educating them on recent release functionalities, demonstration environment configurations, and best practices for showcasing the platform's behavior.
  • • You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating training materials for new hires, ensuring they are quickly brought up to speed on the internal demonstration environment and its intricacies. This contributes to a consistently high level of pre-sales expertise across the organization.
  • • Continuous collaboration with other members of the Pre-sales team is expected. By sharing insights from demonstrations and client conversations, you will collectively refine our understanding of prospect technical requirements and specific needs, fostering a cohesive and informed sales approach.
  • • This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a deep technical aptitude, and excellent communication skills, particularly when addressing complex credit-related challenges within the financial services sector. You will be a key technical advisor and trusted partner to both prospects and the internal sales team.
