- • As a Sales Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of our sales efforts, acting as a trusted advisor to public safety agencies across Canada, focusing on the technical and value-driven aspects of Axon's leading-edge solutions.
- • This is a quota-carrying, customer-facing role where your expertise will directly influence product enhancements and the successful deployment of Axon's innovative ecosystem of devices and cloud software.
- • You will be instrumental in showcasing the value of our offerings through compelling technical presentations, in-depth architecture design discussions, and strategic competitive displacement efforts.
- • A significant part of your role will involve leading and supporting impactful Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements, ensuring customers fully understand and experience the benefits of Axon's technology.
- • You will also play a key role in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), providing detailed technical responses that highlight Axon's capabilities.

- • Develop and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of the entire Axon product suite, alongside domain expertise within relevant technology subject areas, ensuring you are always at the forefront of innovation.
- • Provide essential support for product testing and evaluations, contributing to the continuous improvement and refinement of our offerings.
- • Execute thorough customer site assessments, with a particular focus on evaluating their existing technology infrastructure to identify integration opportunities and potential challenges.
- • Effectively transfer industry knowledge, technical insights, and product expertise to both customers and internal colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- • Proactively plan and strategize to prevent pre- and post-sales issues, thereby shortening the sales cycle and accelerating time to revenue.

- • You will be a key player in communicating the value of evidence capture devices, digital evidence management solutions (SaaS and on-premise), and other critical public safety technologies.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science or Engineering fields) or equivalent practical experience.
- • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar technical pre-sales role.
- • Strong knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital Video, Mobile Communications, IP Engineering, IP Security, Embedded Systems, Identity and Access Management (IAM), SaaS.
- • Proven experience with CCTV systems, Video Management Systems (VMS), network technologies, and the IP stack (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN gateways, proxies).
- • High degree of technical knowledge in computing infrastructure components, data centers, and system support.
- • Experience in data integration and data analysis to support an expanding product portfolio.
- • Demonstrable experience of strong project management skills, particularly for successful Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements.
- • Willingness to travel significantly (up to 70%), including some international travel, and possess a valid passport and clean driving license.
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- • A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
