- • Lead, coach, and develop a team of licensed insurance agents in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment focused on Property & Casualty insurance products
- • Drive accountability against core KPIs including conversion rate, premium production, contact rate, and customer experience metrics
- • Conduct regular coaching sessions, call reviews, and performance evaluations to identify growth opportunities and improve agent effectiveness
- • Establish clear performance expectations, goals, and action plans for each agent to ensure alignment with agency objectives
- • Continuously assess and improve sales workflows, lead management processes, quoting strategies, and customer engagement protocols to enhance efficiency and scalability
- • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Leadership teams to provide feedback on tooling, lead distribution, and operational improvements
- • Serve as a key stakeholder in shaping the infrastructure and operational strategy of NerdWallet’s Insurance Experts agency
- • Maintain strong relationships with delegated insurance carrier partners and support carrier-related initiatives and compliance requirements
- • Support hiring efforts by interviewing, onboarding, and training new insurance agents across multiple locations
- • Design and facilitate ongoing training sessions, coaching programs, and skills refreshers to build a high-performance, customer-centric team culture
- • Monitor, analyze, and report on agent and team performance trends using dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools
- • Leverage data insights to identify actionable improvements and drive measurable increases in sales effectiveness and premium output
- • Track progress toward team goals and provide regular performance updates to leadership, including General Manager
- • Ensure compliance with state insurance licensing and regulatory requirements across all agent activities
- • Operate using NerdWallet’s communication and productivity tools including Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and a company-provided laptop
- • Work in a hybrid model requiring a minimum of three days per week in-office at either the New York City Financial District or Scottsdale, Arizona office
- • Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while fostering an inclusive and candid work environment
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–5 years of experience managing and coaching sales professionals in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment
- • 7+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience, with agency experience strongly preferred
- • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (or ability to obtain quickly)
- • Demonstrated success improving sales performance and consistently achieving or exceeding team goals
- • Strong understanding of sales KPIs and performance management best practices
- • Experience using dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools to manage team performance
