- • Lead quality assurance and supervision of customer-facing sales staff across Kota’s regulated entities in Ireland and the UK, reviewing sales calls, files, and suitability assessments to ensure advice is clear, fair, suitable, and compliant with market regulations.
- • Provide structured feedback and quality scoring to sales representatives, calibrating standards across reviewers, products, and jurisdictions to maintain consistency and regulatory alignment.
- • Own and manage Kota’s minimum competency register, ensuring all customer-facing staff meet and maintain mandatory regulatory standards for financial advice.
- • Onboard and supervise new sales hires through their competency development period, guiding them from trainee to fully qualified adviser status with documented progress tracking.
- • Design, deliver, and update product and regulatory training programs, including continuous professional development (CPD) monitoring and compliance tracking for regulated teams.
- • Translate findings from quality reviews into targeted coaching interventions, improving individual performance and team-wide adherence to compliance standards.
- • Build and maintain QA reporting and management information systems, surface trend analysis, and implement behavioral correction measures based on data-driven insights.
- • Develop and deploy monitoring tools to proactively identify risks in sales conduct, advice quality, and regulatory adherence across sales channels.
- • Maintain rigorous record-keeping for all quality and competence activities, ensuring audit readiness and alignment with regulatory expectations from the Central Bank of Ireland and FCA.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, and Sales teams to support regulatory reviews, submissions, and governance frameworks.
- • Work closely with the Head of Retail Sales to align training and quality initiatives with sales targets, customer outcomes, and regulatory obligations.
- • Drive continuous improvement of QA frameworks by building new processes rather than inheriting legacy systems, with a bias for action and ownership of outcomes.
- • Communicate clearly and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for sales teams.
- • Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, creating structure where none exists and adapting quickly to evolving regulatory landscapes and business needs.
- • Champion Kota’s values of integrity, care, ownership, and raising the bar by embedding compliance and quality into the culture of the sales organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in financial services
- • Proven sales background with regulated industries; demonstrated ability to deliver compliant financial advice
- • QFA holder (Qualified Financial Adviser) recognised by the Central Bank of Ireland under MCC 2017 across five categories of retail financial products
- • Working knowledge of conduct regulation in at least one of Kota’s markets (Ireland or UK)
- • Hands-on experience maintaining a competency register, supervising new entrants to adviser status, and managing CPD compliance
- • Experience reviewing advised sales and judging suitability, quality of advice, and regulatory compliance
