- • As a Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of driving adoption for Top Hat's suite of solutions, which includes cutting-edge digital textbook content and a sophisticated SaaS platform designed to enhance engagement and learning outcomes. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and convert academic professionals into loyal clients. This involves understanding their unique teaching challenges and demonstrating how Top Hat can revolutionize their classroom experience, making education more accessible, engaging, and effective for students.
- • The role demands a proactive and entrepreneurial approach. You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle within your assigned territory, from prospecting and lead generation to conducting compelling product demonstrations, navigating complex negotiations, and ultimately closing deals. This requires a deep understanding of our value proposition and the ability to articulate it clearly and persuasively to a diverse range of academic stakeholders.
- • A significant aspect of this position involves in-person engagement. You will be expected to spend approximately 40%-50% of your time annually traveling to campuses within the Greater Denver area. During peak academic sales seasons (mid-January through May and mid-August through mid-December), this on-campus presence may increase to up to 75% of your time. This travel is crucial for building rapport, understanding campus needs, and effectively showcasing our solutions.
- • You will collaborate closely with our dedicated Customer Success Managers, as well as internal product and marketing teams. This cross-functional teamwork is essential for ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience from initial contact through to ongoing engagement, and for maximizing revenue growth within your territory.
- • Success in this role hinges on your ability to not only identify new business opportunities but also to nurture and grow existing relationships. You will be empowered with the autonomy to manage your territory strategically, developing personalized outreach plans and adapting your sales approach to meet the specific needs of each institution and professor.
