  • • As a Sales Specialist for Microarrays at Illumina in France, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of Illumina's Infinium microarray and 5-Base sequencing portfolio across human and non-human markets.
  • • You will serve as the national commercial expert for all microarray platforms and associated software solutions, working collaboratively with account managers, marketing teams, local representatives, medical and governmental affairs, and market access teams for clinical applications.
  • • Your primary objective will be to accelerate revenue growth and secure margins for this product line.
  • • The role requires a deep understanding of Illumina's Infinium microarray products, encompassing human microarrays (genotyping, cytogenetics, and methylation), non-human microarrays (animal and plant), and custom microarray products.
  • • A solid grasp of Illumina's DNA sequencing business, including 5-Base technology, will be essential to guide customers toward the most suitable solutions.
  • • You will lead strategic customer engagements, provide support for complex business opportunities, and act as a subject matter expert for key opinion leaders within France.
  • • A crucial aspect of this role involves educating and supporting our sales team, equipping them to identify opportunities, assist customers, and effectively position Illumina's cutting-edge offerings.

  • • You will be responsible for managing all facets of customer relationships and portfolio management within the microarray markets (human and/or non-human).

  • • You will act as an expert resource for microarray products, technological platforms, and software solutions across the EMEALA region.
  • • Developing and executing strategic plans to win new business, increase market share, and enhance the quality of the opportunity pipeline are critical.
  • • You will identify and shape large business opportunities (>$1M), providing strategic guidance and success plans.
  • • Guiding customers to the most appropriate solutions, including a comprehensive understanding of Illumina's sequencing portfolio, is a core function.
  • • You will collaborate closely with account managers, key account managers, sales specialists, marketing, and global product development management within Illumina's team-selling model.
  • • Supporting marketing initiatives by providing competitive intelligence, assisting with promotions, events, and sales collateral is expected.
  • • You will plan and deliver regular sales training to local sales teams in conjunction with product and line management.
  • • Enabling account managers to handle basic opportunity qualification, customer inquiries, and early-stage opportunity structuring is a key enablement function.
  • • Gathering and sharing market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback with product marketing is essential for continuous improvement.
  • • You will contribute innovative ideas for customer solutions and encourage creative thinking within the broader sales team.
  • • This role requires significant travel, estimated at 50-60%, across France to engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • • You will be expected to leverage CRM tools like SFDC or JDE for pipeline management and customer interaction tracking.
  • • The position demands a proactive and analytical approach to sales, with a focus on understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • • You will play a vital role in advancing genomic technology adoption and contributing to Illumina's mission of expanding access to genomic insights for global health.
