  • • As a Sales Strategy and Operations Manager at Kong Inc., you will serve as a critical business partner to the AMS GTM Leadership team, directly influencing the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of a high-growth sales organization. Your work will ensure alignment between sales strategy, execution, and measurable outcomes, enabling Kong to scale its market presence in the Americas while maintaining operational rigor and agility.
  • • You will lead the annual AMS GTM planning process, including fiscal year modeling, investment ROI analysis, headcount planning, quota and capacity setting, and territory planning—translating corporate objectives into actionable sales plans that drive predictable revenue growth.
  • • Partner with GTM leadership to design and implement the AMS go-to-market structure, segmentation, and coverage model across Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Sales Development, and Professional Services, ensuring optimal resource allocation and customer engagement.
  • • Provide visibility into business health by monitoring lead funnel performance, sales efficiency, and productivity metrics using BI tools like Clari and Salesforce, enabling data-informed decisions at all levels of the sales organization.
  • • Drive the operating cadence within the theater, supporting management inspections throughout the customer lifecycle and ensuring consistent execution of sales processes, deal reviews, and performance assessments.
  • • Support sales leadership in preparing content for key management forums such as Quarterly Business Reviews, synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
  • • Ensure CRM data integrity, pipeline accuracy, and forecasting reliability by driving adoption of best practices in deal management, approval workflows, and booking processes, while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and other teams to resolve operational challenges, align on initiatives, and drive change management efforts that enhance GTM effectiveness.
  • • Act as a trusted escalation point for inquiries directed to the AMS VP of Sales, assessing urgency and routing issues to the appropriate stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • • Maintain accountability for Sales Leadership team issues by tracking progress, ensuring timely follow-up, and promoting a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
  • • Embrace Kong’s culture of innovation and ownership by taking initiative on ad hoc projects and process improvements that support the scalability and efficiency of the global field organization.

šŸŽÆ Requirements

  • • 5-8 years of relevant business experience in sales operations, revenue operations, GTM strategy, or a related field, with proven ability to manage complex planning cycles and cross-functional initiatives.
  • • Demonstrated expertise with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, CPQ), Clari, Outreach, Zoominfo, and similar revenue technology platforms, including data management, reporting, and process automation.
  • • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset, capable of building financial models, interpreting KPIs, and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level presentations and facilitating discussions with senior leadership.
  • • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining organization, composure, and focus during high-pressure periods.
  • • BA/BS in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics); MBA or related graduate degree preferred but not required.
